Vanilla Waypoints

Made For the Immersive mc modpack! Immersive MC - Minecraft Modpacks - CurseForge

Ever wished Minecraft had a waypoint system that actually felt like it belonged in vanilla? Well, now it does (without turning your world into a sci-fi GPS simulator).

Vanilla Waypoints adds a simple, balanced teleportation system using one of Minecraftโ€™s most iconic blocks: the beacon. Instead of adding random teleport machines or giant futuristic portals, this mod lets you create connected waypoints by building two fully completed beacon pyramids made from iron, copper, gold, emerald, diamond, or netherite.

Each beacon material creates its own unique network. An iron beacon can only link with another iron beacon, a diamond beacon can only link with another diamond beacon, and so on. The material you build your beacon pyramid from determines what other beacons it can connect to, making every waypoint feel satisfying and like an actual investment.

To keep teleportation balanced, every teleport requires a payment matching the beacon type:

  • Iron beacons use iron ingots
  • Copper beacons use copper ingots
  • Gold beacons use gold ingots
  • Emerald beacons use emeralds
  • Diamond beacons use diamonds
  • Netherite beacons use netherite scraps (because full netherite ingots every teleport would be completely ridiculous)

You might be thinking: โ€œWhy wouldnโ€™t I just build iron beacons everywhere?โ€ Well, thereโ€™s a catch. Only one pair of each ore type can be linked at a time. If your two iron beacons are already connected, youโ€™ll need to create a different tier for another waypoint. Choose your locations carefully and make your teleport network actually meaningful.

For an even more cinematic experience, this mod pairs amazingly with Grand Teleport Mod, making every journey feel less like clicking a button and more like a true Minecraft teleportation event.

Build your network, protect your resources, and create the ultimate vanilla-friendly fast travel system. Even Steve has to pay for convenience.
