The Call of Carmen

A Project Moon fan-made mod that lets you fight as a legend of the City.

"When Carmen's call reaches you, which path will you choose?"

Inspired by Project Moon's works, The Call of Carmen brings character progression, unique equipment, and combat abilities to Minecraft. Gather Seed of Light Fragments as you survive and fight, unlock skills, and develop your own fighting style.

Answer the Call

Survive a heavy blow to receive Carmen's Call, unlocking the ability to earn Seed of Light Fragments.

Defeat hostile mobs, gather fragments, and turn the call into Carmen's Badge to access the skill tree and shop. As you explore the Nether and defeat the Wither, higher skill tiers become available.

Become a legend in the city.

Version 0.1.9 includes Roland's, Kali's and Xiao's mutually exclusive skill paths, each with its own equipment and combat style.

Roland's Arsenal

Combat Combos

Switch weapons and chain different attacks to keep your combos going, both on the ground and in the air.

Become the Red Mist

Follow Kali's skill path and wield Mimicry. Use Into the Fray to charge from one enemy to the next as you land killing blows.

Unlock The Red Mist, build your gauge through combat, and transform in a burst of red mist.

Face Your Past

Grants an Invitation from the Past. Use it to face the Red Mist in a dedicated arena.

Become Xiao

Follow Xiao's skill path and stay true to yourself in Carmen's voice.

The City's Story Continues

The mod is still in a early stage of development. I still got a lot of idea wait to be realized. Future plans include skill paths for more Fixers, signature equipment from the City's corporations, and content related to Distortions.

These are future development plans and have not yet been implemented.

Once the mod reaches a stable version, I plan to open-source its original code under the MIT License; third-party assets will remain subject to their respective licenses.

Installation and Multiplayer

Requires:

Requires Java 25. Use the GeckoLib package built for your Minecraft version and NeoForge. The same mod JAR is used for both listed Minecraft versions.

For multiplayer, install the mod and its dependencies on both the client and the server, using matching versions.

Back up your world before updating and remove the old mod JAR.
