Extend the range you can place/brake blocks with a new tool! Inspired by the Crab Claw, introduced my Mojang in the 2023 Mob Vote.
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.
Quilt is a fork of the Fabric mod loader. Many Fabric mods are compatible with Quilt and vice versa.

The Claw Item
The Claw is a new item that extends the players block placing and breaking range. (3 blocks) It does not allow you to attack or interact with mobs at farther distances. It must be held in either the mainhand or offhand in order to take effect.
Althogh this datapack was inspired by the Crab Claw item, introduced by Mojang in the 2023 mob vote, this datapack DOES NOT add the crab mob. Rather it goes with a simpler approach to obtaining the claw.
To craft the claw, you need 1 string, 2 copper ingots, an echo shard, and shears.
The Reach Enchantment
The Reach enchantment adds one block of range per level of enchantment. (level 1-5) You cant find it in an enchanting table, you have to trade with villagers and use an anvil.
