About
Description
The Echo is a Fabric horror mod for 1.20.1 that messes with your game. Instead of just basic jumpscares, it acts like a glitched simulation that slowly breaks down over a 14-day cycle.
What's inside:
- 14-Day Progression: The longer you stay in your world, the weirder it gets. Early on, chests and doors will open by themselves, and you'll see fake join messages for 'Herobrine'. Later on, your hotbar might get locked with bedrock blocks, gravity will reverse, and weird command text will hijack your chat.
- The Nightmare: Sleep on Day 3 or 4 and you'll wake up trapped in a purple arena. You have to survive for 2 minutes against Dream Stalkers (glitched Enderman-style monsters with glowing red eyes). If you die, you wake up in your bed with a jumpscare, all your items are scattered on the floor, you get debuffs, and you get insomnia (can't sleep) for the rest of the night while phantoms swarm your base.
- Fourth-Wall Breaks: Dying to the main monsters for the first time will literally exit your game to the launcher and drop creepy warning log files in your Minecraft directory.
- Boss & Reward: The final boss is a 3-phase glitched skeleton with custom speed boosts and summons. If you beat him, the simulation stabilizes and you get The Thread Weaver—an overpowered Sharpness 10 sword that shoots glitch shockwaves and vaporizes stalkers. Requires Fabric API.
