Welcome to EliJ2's ores! In the new update 2.0, even more new ores have been added to spice up your mining adventures!

More updates will be added frequently, with the next one focusing more on cave upgrades than new ores. Until then, have fun with the MOUNTAINS AND SEAS update!

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: "can i use this in a modpack?" Sure!

"when will the next update be?" i have lost this mod due to an mcreator failure.

"can i use this mod in a video?" sure! just be sure to give credit, unless its a mod pack.

"what about any glitches/issues?" please report them to me in the comments. I read these                                                                      once a day, and if i see one ill do my best to fix it in the next update.

All the ores in this mod are described here:

BRONZE: Bronze is an ingot-based ore like iron ore, but is a bit weaker. You can make armor and tools with it, but it has a better use that will be described in a later section.

RUBY: Rubies are just as valuable as diamonds, but they have far better durability, making them helpful when you want armor that lasts. They are a little bit rarer than diamonds and have a lower spawning maximum.

ALLOY: Alloy is not an ore, but a combination of bronze and iron ingots. It is not as good as diamond, but it is stronger than iron. Alloy can not make armor. Alloy has a better use also described in a later section.

SULFUR: Sulfur is a little different from most ores. Sulfur is a nether ore that can be found anywhere with netherack, and it is not super common, so you will have to work a little to get enough. Once you get nine sulfur dust and make a block, you can use that sulfur block to make special potions called sulfur potions using awkward, mundane, and thick potions or water bottles. The type of potion is the defining factor between what sulfur potion you get. You can get weakening, speed, sickness, fatuige, health, and resistance. These sulfur potions each have multiple effects and can be made into splash potions, lingering potions, and arrows.

VOID CRYSTAL: Void crystal is a very rare ore only found in the End. When mined, it drops a void crystal that, if you have four of them, be crafted into a strenthened, quickened, or reinforced steel upgrade depending on if you use blaze powder, sugar, or redstone in the middle. These upgrades are very helpful, as explained in the next section.

VOID STEEL: When you combine alloy tools or weapons with a strenthened, quickened, or reinforced steel upgrade, you get a tool with the same name as the upgrade and some unique abilities. To do this, you need the upgrade in the left slot of the smithing table, your tool in the middle, and a void crystal in the right. These tools and weapons have one stat that is better than netherite. Strenthened steel makes any alloy tool you put it on deal more damage than the netherite version of that tool. Quickened steel either improves attack speed (sword) drasticly or greatly increases efficiency (any other tool). Reinforced steel makes the weapon have more durability than any other tool or weapon in the game.

MIXED ORE: Finally, there is one more feature version 1.0 adds. Mixed ore can spawn in any area you could find bronze, and is uncommon, so you need to hunt for it. Once you do find one of these multicolored ores, you can mine it to get one random ore. For example, there are three mixed ores in one vain. One of the ores drops lapis, one drops an emerald, and one drops raw iron. You can get anything from the overworld between the tiers of bronze and lapis from these ores, but the rarer ores have a rarer chance of dropping. 

TUNGSTEN 2.0 only: Tungsten is a very hard metal that requires a diamond pickaxe to mine. In block form, it is the new most blast resistant, but still mineable, block in the game. I tried to blow it up with 11,882 TNT and it was the only thing in the area still standing! Tungsten is also now required to craft netherite.

JADE 2.0 only: High in the mountains of the overworld, you can find a new gemstone: jade! Jades are as strong as diamonds  when crafted into armor, tools, or weapons, but they have even lower durability than gold. They are, however, much more common than diamonds and should'nt be that hard to find in the mountains.

PRISMARINE 2.0 only: Deep under the oceans, you can find the resource that was used to build the ocean monuments long ago. Prismarine was added quite a long time ago, but now you can find it in ore form! Once you reach deepslate level, the ore turns into dark prismarine instead and will drop the new dark prismarine shard item. Now, prismarine was only useful before as decoration or for conduits, so i have added the ability to upgrade your fishing rods with it. Iron fishing rods require prismarine shards, diamond fishing rods require dark prismarine shards, and gold requires a mix of the two. These fishing rods have much better durability than the old normal fishing rod, and the gold one is very easy to enchant.

ZIDIUM 2.0 only: Zidium is a mysterious substance that can be used to enhance a block's properties. Combine it with a slime block to bounce high into the air, or a cake block to run super fast. These are only some of the examples, but i'll let you discover the rest for yourself!

ADVANCEMENT SYSTEM 2.0 only: Also in the new update, i have added an advancement system. Progress through the various advancements, and get every hoe in the game to become SUPER seriously dedicated ( as long as you SERIOUSLY reconsider your life choices once you have) there are also some A Christams Story referances in a few of the advancements, so be sure to check that out as well!
