Description
The Final Goatman
The Final Goatman adds two hostile cryptids to Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1, and Bedrock.
If you've ever wanted a creature that feels like it's actually hunting you instead of just running straight at you, this mod is for you. The Goatman wanders forests and other dark areas, stalking players from a distance before attacking. It comes with custom sounds, animations, and behavior designed to make encounters feel unpredictable.
The Goatman isn't meant to be another regular hostile mob. Sometimes you'll hear it before you see it. Sometimes you'll see it before it sees you. Sometimes the player walking toward you isn't a player. And closing your door doesn't mean what it used to. You'll hear knocking. Then a voice. Then the doorway is gone.
He also learns. That's all we're saying.
New in 4.x: The Ram. A massive territorial beast that spawns in the mountains. It's not smart and it's not patient. It watches you, and if you stay too long it stomps the ground hard enough to send you flying, lowers its head, and charges through fences, glass, doors, and entire trees to reach you. It's also the only creature in the mod the Goatman runs from. If you're lucky you'll see that chase happen.
Both mobs are fully custom with their own models, animations, sounds, and AI. Everything spawns naturally and works in multiplayer on Forge 1.20.1, NeoForge 1.21.1, and Bedrock.
4.0 CHANGELOG
The Ram: a second cryptid. Huge, territorial, spawns in mountains, glowing eyes, mouth full of bloody teeth
The Ram charges through fences, glass, doors, leaves, and even trees. Bait it into stone and its horns get stuck
The Ram hates the Goatman. The Goatman runs
The Ram is on Bedrock too, full port
The Goatman fits through doors and one block gaps now. Your walls better be solid
He opens doors when you're not home. And closes them behind him. Usually
Glass means nothing to him
He hunts villagers, patrols doors, and sees you through walls
Some Goatmen aren't hostile. Some goats aren't goats. Some kills don't count
New items: Goatman Horn, Horned Cleaver, Goatman Ward (Curios supported, never required)
Ram Skulls spawn in the world as territory markers. Finding one means you're already inside
Back to 500 health [i know people were complaining about this but i changed it back so you cant just kill him instantly]
Tons of fixes from user reports
...and some things in this update are not in this changelog.
The Final Goatman adds a new hostile cryptid to Minecraft 1.20.1.
The mod includes a completely custom Goatman with its own model, animations, sounds, and AI. It spawns naturally in the world and is fully compatible with multiplayer on Forge 1.20.1.
The Goatman isn't meant to be another regular hostile mob. Sometimes you'll hear it before you see it. Sometimes you'll see it before it sees you. Either way, staying out at night is a lot less safe.
