Description

A vanilla-friendly expansion that introduces lead, a dense and dangerous new metal — designed and polished to feel like an official game drop.
Features
You'll find lead scattered through the Overworld in veins much like iron, with the richest deposits hiding out in swamps.
Leaded Glass
Glass has never looked this good. Leaded Glass comes in clear and all 16 colors. Craft them into panes, and use the Stonecutter to arrange your leaded glass panes into 10+ different patterns.
Here's some trick to make building with placed leaded glass easier:
- Want one pane of the window a different color? Right-click that section with a dye!
- Changed your mind? Snip it back to clear with shears.
- Pattern facing the wrong way? Sneak and right-click to turn it.
- Leaded glass panes can be rotated in any direction, so you can use it to build ceilings as well. They can also be waterlogged.
You can even fit them into a Leaded Glass Door and Leaded Glass Trapdoor too. Swapping the glass out later is as easy as right-clicking with a new pane; the old one comes straight back to you.
Lead Weight
The Lead Weight is a solid cube of lead that drops like an anvil and flattens whatever happens to be underneath. Make sure you have the high ground, or use it for a trap!
Just don't expect it to last forever — every hard landing chips away at it, until one day it shatters completely.
💡Tip: You can hang lead weights from a chain, and make it drop by shooting it with a projectile.
Lead Fumes
Be careful while mining! Mine lead ore and you'll release a cloud of toxic fumes. Breathe them in and you'll come down with Lead Sickness — hunger first, then weakness, then poison if you really overdo it. Just make sure to keep a safe distance!
Lead Torches burn with a pale, ghostly flame and give off those same toxic fumes. Sounds like a downside? Not quite — creepers and pillagers can't stand them! Line your base with lead torches and watch them think twice.
💡Tip: Want the light without the fumes? Craft a Lead Lantern instead — same glow, safely sealed.
Tools & Equipment
Lead hits hard. Your lead sword swings with all the force of netherite… and then breaks after a few dozen swings. Lead armor has high protection, but wears out just as quickly. It's a glass cannon, and it's a blast to use when you need to win a fight right now.
It's heavy, too. It slows you down, pulls you toward the ground (and the ocean floor), and makes you very hard to push around.
There's Lead Horse Armor as well — a solid step up from iron, and it won't slow your horse down.
Trading & Loot
Lead ingots can be found in chests, lead horse armor waits in the odd dungeon, and armorers, weaponsmiths and toolsmiths are happy to buy your spare ingots. Don't be too surprised when a zombie wanders out of the dark wearing lead, either.
Making Lead Matter
Lead has a way of turning up in recipes you already know. Your Fishing Rod now takes a lead nugget for weight instead of that bottom piece of string.
Lead blocks work as beacon payment, lead ingots trim your armor, and if you like, lead can even make the Heavy Core craftable at last (turned off by default, but there's a config setting for it).
Building with Lead
There's a whole decorative set waiting for your next build: bricks, slabs, stairs, walls, pillars, chiseled lead, grates, bars, chains, doors, trapdoors, torches and lanterns.
And because lead is so incredibly dense, a couple of neat things fall out of it: pistons can't budge a solid lead block, and sculk sensors can't hear a thing through one. Handy!
Compatibility
Built-in support for:
- Create — run lead through the Crushing Wheels, or press ingots into Lead Sheets.
- Create: Aeronautics (Sable) — every lead block is weighted properly. Spoiler: it's heavy.
- JEI and EMI — every recipe shows up, right down to the in-world pane dyeing.
- Farmer's Delight — adds the Lead Knife.
Nearly every feature above can be turned on or off in the config, so you can play it your way.

Lead Weight
The Lead Weight is a solid ball of lead that drops like an anvil and flattens whatever happens to be underneath. Hang it from a chain above your front door and wait for company.
Just don't expect it to last forever — every hard landing chips away at it, until one day it shatters completely.
Lead Fumes
Be careful while mining! Mine lead ore and you'll release a cloud of choking grey fumes. Breathe them in and you'll come down with Lead Sickness — hunger first, then weakness, then poison if you really overdo it. Just make sure to keep a safe distance!

Yes, there's a full set of lead tools and armor. No, it isn't here to replace your netherite!

Future Updates
There's more lead to come — got an idea? I'd love to hear it.
