The Newest Goatman — Ambient Frequency Patch & Modern Forge Port
This project is an unofficial, permission-granted fork of The Newest Goatman by LunarGroup.
It provides a modern Forge-compatible build while making one intentional gameplay-facing adjustment: ambient and background noise occurrences are spaced farther apart. The Goatman itself, its behavior, its sounds, and the original horror experience remain intact.
Unofficial Fork — Permission Granted
This modified build is uploaded with the original author’s permission and with full credit to LunarGroup.
Please support the original author and project:

This is an unofficial fork and should not be treated as an official LunarGroup release.

The same Goatman experience with less repetitive ambience.
-
Adjusted only the timing of ambient and background noise occurrences.
-
New default interval of 8–15 minutes between ambient noise events.
-
Equivalent timing range of 480–900 seconds.
-
Reduces repetitive noise triggers that some players may find distracting or excessive.
-
Preserves the original mod’s intended horror atmosphere and tension.
-
Provides a modern Forge-compatible port for the versions listed on this project’s Files page.
What This Fork Does Not Change
-
Goatman spawning is unchanged.
-
AI behavior is unchanged.
-
Chase behavior and chase sounds are unchanged.
-
No textures, models, or sounds were removed.
-
No intentional gameplay changes were made beyond the ambient-event timing adjustment.

More breathing room between ambient events.
The original ambient noises can occur more frequently than some players prefer. This fork increases the default interval between those events to 8–15 minutes, reducing repetition without removing the sounds or weakening the intended horror experience.
Only the ambient-event schedule is adjusted. Goatman spawning, decision-making, pursuit behavior, chase audio, models, textures, and other sounds continue to behave as intended by the original mod.
The modern Forge port focuses on compatibility for the project versions listed on the Files page. Use the download that matches your Minecraft and Forge installation.
