The Overseer
Version: 1.0.0 Minecraft: 1.21.8+ Fabric API: Required
Overview
Bring your Minecraft server to life with The Overseer — a sarcastic, AI-style entity that comments on player actions. Whether someone joins, leaves, or meets an untimely demise, The Overseer is there to deliver witty, snarky remarks that keep your server lively, fun, and memorable.
Features
Join Messages: Players are greeted with humorous or sarcastic messages when they log in.
Leave Messages: Mocking, witty messages appear when players log off.
Death Messages: Personalized, sarcastic death messages, optionally including the killer’s name.
Randomized Messages: Keep interactions fresh; no two events are exactly the same.
Fully Configurable: Edit JSON files (join.json, leave.json, death.json) to add your own messages.
Category Toggle: Enable or disable join, leave, or death messages via snarky_config.json.
Placeholders
– the main player
– the player who caused a death (only used if applicable)
Installation
Place The Overseer JAR in your server’s mods/ folder.
Ensure Fabric API is installed.
Start the server — default config files will be automatically generated in config/.
Edit the JSON files to customize messages or toggle categories.
Notes
Server admins can safely disable any category while keeping others active.
Currently tracks joins, leaves, and deaths only; future updates may add more in-game events.
