Description

The Stalking Mother…

She watches. She follows. She’s getting closer.

The forest is quiet—but you are not alone.

Somewhere beyond the trees, something is watching your movements. You hear heavy footsteps and distant growls. Then the silence breaks.

The Stalking Mother… is a Minecraft horror mod built around a massive T-Rex, tense pursuit sequences, a cinematic helicopter escape, and a city where your nightmare continues.

Survive the forest. Reach the helicopter. Explore the city. Face the final confrontation.

A Predator That Stalks You

The T-Rex does not spend every moment charging directly at you. Its behavior alternates between stalking and chasing, creating moments of uncertainty between attacks.

  • 25-second stalking phases build tension between pursuits.
  • One-minute chase phases force you to keep moving.
  • Heavy footsteps, growls, and proximity-based audio warn you of danger.
  • Pursuit continues through the city—not just the forest.
  • The T-Rex can move through leaves without getting blocked by the canopy.

A quiet moment does not mean the danger is gone.

A World Built for Horror

Experience a bleak world with black-and-white visuals, ominous music, and jumpscares.

On-screen sanity and stamina meters accompany your survival experience. Watch your surroundings, manage your movement, and listen carefully.

Other hostile mob spawning is suppressed to keep the experience focused on the T-Rex.

Content warning: This mod contains loud sounds, jumpscares, and intense chase sequences.

Helicopter Rescue

Surviving long enough brings a chance to escape.

A rescue helicopter arrives with a climbable ladder. Reach it, climb aboard, and experience a first-person rescue flight before descending into the city center.

The rescue sequence includes:

  • Animated helicopter movement and spinning rotors.
  • A first-person passenger viewpoint.
  • A landing sequence in the city center.
  • A rescue ladder that the T-Rex cannot break.
  • Built-in helicopter models and textures.

No separate helicopter resource pack is required.

The City Is Not the End

Your escape leads to an expanded city filled with streets, tall buildings, and wandering citizens.

Citizens are distributed throughout the city rather than concentrated in one small area. They move along sidewalks, bringing life to the streets without turning every corner into a crowd.

But reaching civilization does not mean you are safe.

The T-Rex can pursue you here, too.

A Cinematic Finale

The final confrontation features three helicopters: a leading aircraft and two accompanying helicopters.

⚠ Ending spoilers below

After the T-Rex’s death, the frightening music stops, the black-and-white effect disappears, and color returns to the world.

The words “La Peace” appear on screen.

The story concludes without forcing you out of your world.

Getting Started

Find the mod’s items in the The Stalking Mother… creative inventory tab. Use the T-Rex Spawner item to introduce the T-Rex and its egg into your world.

For the intended survival experience, play in Survival mode. Creative mode is useful for building, inspecting the city, or testing scenes.

An open outdoor area is recommended for spawning the T-Rex and testing helicopter sequences.

Commands

The mod keeps its internal namespace as rexmod for compatibility. Use the commands exactly as shown, even though the mod is named The Stalking Mother…

Recall the Rescue Helicopter

/the end

Recalls the rescue helicopter and restarts the rescue setup for the player.

Important: This resets parts of your current rescue/city progression. It does not play the final attack cutscene.

Play the Final Cutscene

/the real end

Manually starts or replays the final helicopter attack sequence.

Use this command to preview the three-helicopter finale, record videos, or test the ending without waiting for normal progression.

Run it in an open street or clearing. The scene checks for suitable ground and camera space and may refuse to start if the area is obstructed.

Request Rescue Through the Trigger

/trigger rx_end set 1

Uses the mod’s rescue trigger. Depending on your current story stage, it can request the helicopter or restart the rescue sequence.

The trigger must have been enabled by the mod’s normal tick functions.

Get the T-Rex Spawner

/give @s rexmod:trex_spawner

Gives you the mod’s T-Rex Spawner item.

Get a T-Rex Egg

/give @s rexmod:trex_egg

Gives you the T-Rex Egg block item.

Summon a T-Rex Directly

/summon rexmod:trex ~ ~ ~

Spawns a T-Rex at your current position.

Useful for testing the entity itself. Directly summoning a T-Rex does not automatically reproduce every scripted story stage or city encounter.

Summon a City Citizen

/summon rexmod:city_citizen ~ ~ ~

Spawns an individual city citizen for testing or custom scenes.

Avoid repeatedly summoning large numbers of citizens, as additional entities can affect performance.

Command permissions: Vanilla /give and /summon require cheats or appropriate server permissions. For testing the custom commands, enable cheats or use an account with the necessary permissions. Run player-focused commands in-game rather than directly from the server console.

Configuration

The mod includes a Cloth Config-powered configuration screen for its optional Gemini-assisted pathfinding settings.

Available options include:

  • Enabling or disabling Gemini-assisted pathfinding.
  • Setting an API key and model.
  • Adjusting request intervals and timeouts.
  • Changing the surrounding map scan radius.
  • Enabling diagnostic logging.

A Gemini API key is optional. Without one, the T-Rex uses its normal pathfinding.

Privacy note: Enabling Gemini-assisted pathfinding with a valid API key sends information about the surrounding block layout to Google’s Gemini API. External service availability, limits, and charges are separate from this mod.

Never share your API key in screenshots, public configuration files, or bug reports.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Forge — this build targets 47.4.10
  • Cloth Config API 11.1.136 — Forge version
  • glTF Renderer API 1.0.0-beta.6

Cloth Config API and glTF Renderer API are required as separate mods. The bundled helicopter resource pack does not replace these libraries.

This release targets Forge, not Fabric or NeoForge.

Compatibility and Testing Notes

  • Back up your world before installing or updating.
  • The mod changes world visuals, music, mob spawning, and scripted gameplay. Other mods that alter the same systems may conflict.
  • Single-player is recommended for initial testing. Full multiplayer compatibility has not been verified.
  • File integrity, command logic, and selected isolated behavior checks have been performed. Full in-game testing of this build is still needed.

You reached the city.

Did you really think she would stop following?
