# The Sulfur Dimension

Travel through a sulfur-block portal into a hazardous new dimension built around Minecraft’s Sulfur Caves.

## Features

- Explore sulfur and cinnabar terrain, sulfur pools and springs, and sulfur spikes.
- Encounter Sulfur Cubes and rare Sniffers.
- Watch out for acid water and noxious sulfur gas; the Respirator Helmet offers protection.
- Find abandoned laboratories in the Overworld and face the scientist boss.
- Use `/locate abandoned_lab` from the Overworld to find the nearest eligible laboratory.
- Earn 21 advancements as you explore and collect new materials.
- Sulfur-yellow portal arrival tint and surface-aware portal landings.

The Sulfur Dimension uses its own world-generation settings to avoid Overworld stone, dirt, tuff, and ore features. Vanilla Overworld generation is unchanged. Existing chunks are not retroactively regenerated.

## Requirements

- Minecraft Java Edition 26.3
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer
- Fabric API for Minecraft 26.3
- Java 25 or newer

This is a Fabric mod; it is not for Forge or NeoForge.

## Installation

Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.3 and the matching Fabric API. Put this mod’s JAR in your Minecraft `mods` folder, then launch the Fabric profile. Back up existing worlds before installing or updating mods that add dimensions or world generation.

## Entering the dimension

Build a 4-block-wide by 5-block-high sulfur-block frame, leaving a 2-by-3 opening. Light the frame with Flint and Steel, then walk into the portal.
