Description

The Face Outside

The Face Outside is an analog-horror stalking mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. It adds unsettling entities that observe the player, learn their surroundings, and appear when they are least expected.

The Pale Watcher

The Pale Watcher does more than chase you. It may:

  • Stalk you from a distance.
  • Hide and peek from behind trees.
  • Watch through windows.
  • Appear inside caves and strip mines.
  • Crawl across ceilings with one arm hanging down.
  • Stand behind you and wait for you to turn around.
  • Rush toward you when you look away.
  • Follow you to a house and reach through the doorway.
  • Disappear behind cover before you can approach.

The Collector

The Collector visits while players sleep. It enters through the door, searches for a nearby chest, leaves a disturbing written book, whispers to the player, and may inspect them beside their bed before quietly leaving.

Additional Horror

  • Horror that grows stronger as more nights pass.
  • Corrupted emergency broadcasts with disturbing warnings.
  • Distorted Minecraft music.
  • Unexplained sounds inside caves.
  • Custom unsettling menus and interfaces.
  • Directional footsteps, breathing, whispers, knocking, and screaming.
  • Encounters designed for both singleplayer and multiplayer.

The entities do not constantly attack. They watch, wait, and create uncertainty. Sometimes nothing happens. Sometimes something has already entered your house.
