Description
Thick Air
Rewrite of Thin Air by Fuzss for Neoforge 1.21.1
About
Thick air introduces hardcore air mechanics, specifically by making the player lose oxygen the further they move away from sea level (Y64). Both adventuring in caves and climbing mountains become much more difficult if you don't bring a source of air. Also the nether is now more of a hellscape.
Features
Below Y=0 and above Y=128, and in the nether, you'll slowly lose air. There is no air whatsoever in the End, so bring a large supply! You can use potions of free breathing (previously named Water Breathing), respirators or air bladders to protect yourself from losing too much air, but some of these won't work in some environments.
Soul fire, Soul Torches and Soul Campfires can be used to create small pockets of safe air. Bottles of soulfire can restore your air too.
The Safety Lantern can be used to gauge the quality of air around you.
Compatability
This mod has compatability with both Curios API and Create: Curios API allows you to wear the respirator in your head slot. Create allows you to use diving suits as a source of air.
Config
The configuration file can be found under
./minecraft/config
Idealy you can also use Mod Menu to modify the config directly in-game
