Description
PvP Loadout adds a menu-driven kit, skill and duel system on top of Epic Fight. Instead of handing out items and typing /skill commands before every fight, players choose a kit and a skill build from an in-game menu, then challenge each other in an arena with a countdown. When the match ends, everything is put back the way it was.
Requires: NeoForge 21.1+ (Minecraft 1.21.1), Epic Fight 21.17.3 or newer.
Optional: Weapons of Miracles (its skills are added to the menu automatically).
What it adds
1. Kits
- Server owners define as many kits as they like in
config/pvploadout-kits.txt. - Each kit sets a main-hand item, an off-hand item and consumables (for example
8|minecraft:cooked_beef). - A shared
[common]section gives every kit the same armor, so only the weapons differ between kits. - In play: every duelist starts with exactly the kit they picked, so a match tests skill and skill choices, not who had better gear.
2. A 7-slot skill loadout menu
- Slots: Dodge, Guard, Passive ×3, Identity, Mobility.
- The skill list is generated from Epic Fight's own skill registry, with no hand-written IDs. Skills from Weapons of Miracles and other Epic Fight add-ons appear automatically.
- Skills are applied directly through Epic Fight's skill API, not through
/skillcommands, so players don't need operator permission. - In play: open the menu (default key O, rebindable), pick a skill for each slot and press apply.
3. My Sets and Recommended builds
- My Sets: each player can save named skill builds on the server and switch between them in one click.
- Recommended builds: server staff create locked presets in game with
/loadout editor add <name>. Players can use them but not delete them. - In play: a new player can pick a recommended build and join a fight immediately, while experienced players keep their own sets.
4. Duels
- Invite an online player from the menu. The other player answers with
/duel acceptor/duel decline. - Both players are teleported to configurable start positions, their selected kit is applied, and a countdown runs (3 seconds by default).
- The match ends on a death or when the time limit is reached (180 seconds by default).
- Afterwards inventory, equipment, health, hunger and potion effects are restored, and each player returns to the lobby or to the position they left from.
- In play: you can duel repeatedly without losing your survival inventory or having to clean up.
5. Solo test (/duel test)
Enter the arena alone with your kit and skills to try a build against nothing but the clock, then return with everything restored.
6. Lobby and training area/loadout lobby and /loadout training teleport players to positions set in the config. Training is the place to check a loadout before a match.
Configuration
All settings are plain text files in config/. After editing, apply the changes in game with /loadout reload.
- Duel settings: lobby, training, player 1 and player 2 positions (including dimension), countdown, match time limit, and what gets restored.
- Kits: the weapons, off-hand items and consumables each kit gives.
- Skill exclusions: hide specific skills from the menu (by class or by ID) if they cause problems.
- Recommended builds: the locked presets, editable in game.
Compatibility
- Works on a dedicated server or in singleplayer. Install it on both the server and the clients.
- Weapons of Miracles 2.0.178: Pain Anticipation and Latent Retribution can crash the client when used with Phantom Ascent. This mod includes a Mixin workaround for these two skills. If it does not take effect on your setup, add them to
config/pvploadout-skill-exclusions.txt.
任意: Weapons of Miracles(そのスキルが自動でメニューに追加されます)
効かない場合は config/pvploadout-skill-exclusions.txt に追加してください。
