Description
This is a simple mod that adds Zippo style lighters to Minecraft.
Lighters can be used as an alternative to the flint and steel or can be collected.
There are 52 unique (normal) lighters in the mod, all of which do the same thing but look different.
There are also 11 special lighters that each have their own special colored fire block.
There are some disposable ones in all vanilla colors as well, but those are not important.
Both regular and special lighters, by default, hold 50 fuel and come with 50 fuel when crafted.
This can be changed in the config file. (Not accessible from mods menu)
Disposable lighters come with 30 gas when crafted, and cannot be refilled.
Crafting:
There are currently 3 craftable items in this mod.
Random Boxed Lighter
Crafted by surrounding a fire charge with 4 obsidian blocks.
Lighter Fluid
Crafted by making a U-shape out of iron ingots and filling the remaining 2 slots with blaze powder.
Disposable Lighters
Well... That's a bit of a complicated one. I recommend just installing JEI or NEI.
Mechanics:
Lighters can be refueled using lighter fluid.
To refuel a lighter, hold the lighter in your main hand and the lighter fluid in your offhand, then press Q.
You can light mobs on fire by right-clicking them with a lighter.
(Consumes fuel)
You can shoot flaming arrows by shooting a bow while holding a lighter in your offhand.
(Consumes fuel)
You can light unlit torches from the Atum 2 mod by right-clicking them with a lighter.
(Consumes fuel)
You can (obviously) light TNT by right-clicking it with a lighter.
(Consumes fuel)
You can light creepers by right-clicking them with a lighter.
(Consumes fuel)
You can light the campfire from the Tough as Nails mod by right-clicking it with a lighter.
(Consumes fuel)
You can burn all webs in a small radius by lighting a web on fire using right-click.
(Consumes fuel)
You can cauterize wounds (heal) by pressing 'Q' while holding a lighter in your main hand and an iron ingot in your offhand. This will also give you mining fatigue and slowness for 5 seconds.
There's a 10% chance to also get blindness for 20 seconds. (Hanging on the edge of blacking out for a bit of time)
(Consumes fuel)
You can light dynamite from the Dwarven Candles mod.
