Tim

Inspired by the Hutts YouTube channel, and made with Hutts' blessing. Tim, the Hutts chat given a body, turns up on your Minecraft server.

A rare guest

Each in-game day there's a 1 in 5 chance Tim joins your server, just like a player: "Tim joined the game", with his face in the Tab list and in chat. He creeps up on the first player he spots ("Found you.") and sticks around for about 40 minutes.

What he gets up to

• Follows you around. He wanders nearby and every so often walks over to comment on what you're doing, or to ask if you've played something.
• Heckles your worst moments: falls, creepers, low health, going to bed, junk on the fishing line.
• Walks into your death screen to tell you what he thinks of how you died.
• Yoinks your stuff. Hit him and he drops it. If he hangs on to it for 60 seconds, it's his.
• Rearranges your building. Now and then he moves a block you placed to somewhere he thinks looks better. He never breaks anything, and he leaves chests and job blocks alone.
• Hangs posters of himself: Fan Club, Campaign, Wanted and Was Here.
• Leaves troll bombs. Sometimes there's a lit bomb at your feet. It goes off after 2.5 seconds and knocks a few blocks loose, and they drop as items, so nothing is lost. Hit it to bat it away. With mobGriefing off it breaks nothing.
• Rides the Ender Dragon. He's on her side, and heckles you all fight. When she dies he says "GG", hides behind a pillar and slips out through the exit portal.

You can't kill him

You can chase him off, though. Land 5 full-strength hits and he runs. He dodges, gets harder to hit as you go, and runs rings around you after every hit. He might drop a piece of his gear on the way out.

His gear

• Cool Glasses: endermen ignore your stare.
• Crocs: 10% faster, and cactus and berry bushes don't hurt.
• Microphone: plays one of Tim's lines, like a goat horn.

The world's first Ender Dragon drops his whole set, and every respawned dragon drops one piece.

Requirements

• Minecraft 26.3 with Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer
• Fabric API
• Install it on the server and every client, so everyone can see and hear him.

For server admins

Op commands: /tim summon [player], /tim dismiss, /tim roll, /tim bomb, /tim visit [minutes].

You can tune his odds in config/tim.json: chancePerDay, visitMinutes, cooldownDays, chasedOffCooldownDays, blockMoveChance, posterChancePerVisit, bombChancePerVisit and more.
