Description
TIME WARP: THE TEMPORAL ENCHANTMENT
Overview
Tired of losing all your progress to a Creeper explosion, lava, or a sudden fall into the void?
Time Warp introduces a powerful enchantment that grants you a second chance at life by literally rewinding time when you would normally die.
Key Feature: Temporal Resilience
The Time Warp enchantment acts as a powerful “insurance policy” against death.
If you are wearing a full set of Time Warp enchanted armor and take fatal damage, the enchantment automatically activates and rewinds your state instead of letting you die.
How It Works
- The mod continuously records a snapshot of the player state (every 5 ticks / ~4 times per second)
- When fatal damage occurs, the system triggers a rewind
- The player is restored to a previous safe state (default: seconds before death)
Restored data:
- Health & hunger
- Position
- Full inventory & armor
- Experience (XP)
- Selected hotbar slot
To prevent duplication exploits, dropped items within the rewind window are removed automatically.
How to Get the Enchantment
Time Warp is a rare and powerful enchantment:
- Enchanting Table (very rare)
- Treasure loot (Dungeons, Mineshafts, Strongholds, etc.)
- Villager trading (Expert Librarians)
- Anvil application via enchanted book
Visual & Gameplay Feedback
- Portal / enchant particles when ability is ready
- Sound effects (Enderman teleport, bell, amethyst chime)
- Action bar + chat feedback on activation
- Full server-side synced effects (no desync issues)
Cooldown System
After activation, Time Warp enters a cooldown phase:
- Standard cooldown: 5 minutes
- Visual boss bar countdown (v2+)
- Clear start/end messages
Extra Features
Scarlet Equipment (v2+)
- New weapon: Scarlet Blade (13 damage, 1.0 attack speed)
- Full Scarlet armor set bonus abilities
- Synergy effects with Time Warp rewind (buffed regeneration, resistance, absorption, etc.)
Area Ability (Z Key) (temporarily disabled)
- Applies AoE Slowness to nearby mobs (~5 blocks).
- Includes visual particle ring and sound feedback.
- 30s cooldown (server-side enforced).
Currently temporarily disabled due to a known bug. It will be re-enabled in a future update.
Recall Ability (J Key)
- Teleports player to spawn / bed / respawn anchor
- Requires full armor + Space enchant requirement
- Shared balancing rules with Time Warp system
Configuration & Compatibility
- Fully server-compatible (uses ServerPlayer / ServerLevel systems)
- Works in singleplayer and multiplayer
- Highly configurable (cooldowns, XP cost, rewind duration, drop radius, etc.)
- No external dependencies (except required libraries in latest versions like PlayerAnimator if used)
Possible incompatibility with mods that heavily modify death mechanics (e.g. grave systems, keep inventory).

How to Get the Enchantment
Time Warp is an extremely rare and powerful enchantment:
It cannot be obtained through the regular Enchantment Table.
It can only be found as a Treasure Enchantment in rare loot chests (Dungeons, Mineshafts, Strongholds) or traded with Expert-level Librarians.
Apply it to your armor using an Anvil.
