Description

TINK: Random Build Blocks

TINK is a growing collection of weird, useful, and questionably designed building blocks.

The mod currently adds three construction materials, each with its own properties, crafting method, and intended use. More strange blocks are planned for future updates.

Gravelstone

A cheap structural filler made by combining gravel with cobblestone.

  • Does not fall like normal gravel
  • Never drops flint
  • Requires a pickaxe
  • Hardness: 1.5
  • Blast resistance: 7
  • Useful for foundations, embankments, tunnels, roads, and bulk construction

Recipe

  • 3 Gravel
  • 1 Cobblestone
  • Produces 4 Gravelstone

The recipe is shapeless.

Graveline

A darker, heat-treated version of Gravelstone.

  • Created by smelting Gravelstone
  • Does not fall
  • Does not burn
  • Supports permanent fire like netherrack
  • Requires at least a stone pickaxe to drop
  • Hardness: 2.5
  • Blast resistance: 9
  • Bees strongly dislike flying directly above it

Graveline is intended for industrial buildings, fireplaces, tunnels, generator rooms, defensive structures, and other places where ordinary building materials may be too weak.

Tink

A soft, white decorative construction blob of questionable engineering quality.

  • Decorative white building block
  • Slightly slows movement
  • Uses soft powder-snow-style sounds
  • Can be mined efficiently with a shovel
  • Flammable
  • Unlocks the advancement “Who Designed This?!”

Recipe

  • 2 Sand
  • 2 Clay Balls
  • 1 White Dye
  • Produces 4 Tink

The recipe is shapeless.

Compatibility

  • Minecraft Java Edition 1.18.2
  • Minecraft Forge
  • Required on both client and server
  • No additional dependencies

Future plans

More unusual decorative and functional building blocks are planned, including additional construction materials with strange properties, specialised uses, and possibly more questionable advancements.

Created using MCreator.
