Description

TOBI's Farm Utilities is a lightweight, selection-based farming mod that makes planting, harvesting, and replanting large crop fields faster without adding complicated machinery.

How to Use

  1. Press N to enable Farm Mode.

  2. Left-click a block to select Point A.

  3. Right-click a block to select Point B.

  4. Choose an action from the menu.

Both points create a rectangular farming area on the same level.

Harvest + Replant

Hold a hoe and select this option to:

  • Harvest mature crops.
  • Leave immature crops untouched.
  • Automatically replant harvested crops.
  • Use seeds from harvested drops when possible.
  • Use matching seeds from your inventory when necessary.
  • Place harvested items directly into your inventory.
  • Drop excess items normally if your inventory is full.
  • Stop before your hoe breaks.

Plant Held Seed

Hold a supported seed or crop item to plant it throughout valid empty spaces in the selected area.

Supported Crops

Vanilla Minecraft

  • Wheat
  • Carrots
  • Potatoes
  • Beetroot
  • Nether Wart
  • Sweet Berries

Farmer's Delight

Farmer's Delight is completely optional. When installed, the following crops are supported:

  • Cabbage
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Rice

Lightweight Processing

Large fields are processed gradually instead of changing every block in a single server tick.

Default settings:

  • Maximum field size: 32×32
  • Processing speed: 24 positions per tick
  • Maximum operating distance: 48 blocks

Server owners can configure the field-size limit, processing speed, operating distance, and completion effects.

Safety Features

  • Ignores immature crops.
  • Stops before breaking your hoe.
  • Stops if you change dimensions.
  • Does not operate in unloaded chunks.
  • Uses standard Minecraft and Forge interaction and placement permission checks.
  • Provides progress and completion information in chat.
  • Optional completion sound and particles.

Bonus Feature

Bamboo can also be planted on Soul Sand.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Forge 47.4.0 or newer
  • Java 17
  • Must be installed on the server and every connecting client
  • No additional required mods
  • Optional: Farmer's Delight 1.2+
