Toolbar Sounds
No reviews yet
A lightweight datapack that brings sound effects to your toolbar (hotbar).
Does not follow a specific thematic focus apart from vanilla Minecraft.
Used for mods with little to no gameplay elements.
Includes quality of life improvements and small tweaks to enhance and customize gameplay.
Adds new music or changing the game's music and sound effects.
Data Packs were introduced to vanilla Minecraft in version 1.13 and allow the server to modify data about the game, or run commands. Data Packs are compatible with all mod loaders.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.
Neoforge is a fork of the Minecraft Forge available for versions 1.20.1+ of Minecraft. Many Forge mods are compatible with Neoforge and vice versa.
Fabric is a mod loader for versions 1.14+ of Minecraft, particularly popular for client side and optimization mods.
Quilt is a fork of the Fabric mod loader. Many Fabric mods are compatible with Quilt and vice versa.

Overview
Give the toolbar some subtle presence with this lightweight data pack. Plays tweaked Vanilla sound effects while scrolling through the toolbar (switching items on the hotbar), with different category sounds for:
- "Blunt" swords (wood and stone)
- Bow and crossbow
- Potions
- Shield
- Swords (the sharp ones)
- Tools (axes, hoes, pickaxes, and shovels)
Works on Singleplayer and Multiplayer worlds, and is built to be extensible to support mod items through future compatibility packs.
Installation
Save the downloaded data pack .zip file to the datapacks folder of your world. If the world is live, use the command /reload to load it in. For more details check out the documentation here.
Compatibility
Now supports 1.20 to 26.2! Please be sure to pick the correct file for your Minecraft version. :)
Always open to expanding that range. Feel free to get in touch via the Github issues page if you have any requests!
Uninstallation
The following command will clear any schedules or scoreboards from the data pack:
/function toolbar_sounds:uninstall
