Description
This is an unofficial fork. Maintained independently by gege-tlph. It is not the official Touhou Little Maid release and is not supported by the original author. For other Minecraft versions, use the upstream mod.
Touhou Little Maid: Tsumugi
Touhou Little Maid is a Touhou Project themed maid mod. Summon maids to keep you company and put them to work: farming, fishing, cooking, sorting your storage and fighting at your side. You can dress them up, give them custom models, and talk to them. Gameplay documentation lives on the Touhou Little Maid Wiki.
This project continues Touhou Little Maid: Orihime (Minecraft 1.21.1, Fabric) onto Minecraft 1.21.11 + Fabric, using the Orihime 1.21.1 Fabric implementation as its behavioural baseline. Feature parity with upstream has been reached.
Requirements
| Component | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Minecraft | 1.21.11 |
| Mod loader | Fabric Loader 0.18.5+ |
| Fabric API | 0.141.1+1.21.11 or newer for 1.21.11 |
| Forge Config API Port | 21.11.0+ — required. The game will not start without it. |
| Java | 21 |
| Install on | Both client and server |
The versions above are the combination this release was verified against. If you hit a problem on other compatible versions, please reproduce it on this combination first.
Installation
- Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.11.
- Download the
touhoulittlemaid-fabric-*.jarwithoutsourcesorshadowin the file name. - Put this mod, Fabric API and
Forge Config API Port
into the
modsfolder of both the client and the server.
Recommended but not required: Mod Menu + Cloth Config API for the in-game config screen, and JEI or REI to browse altar recipes.
Beyond the version bump
- Maids using Yes Steve Model wear their gear correctly. Backpack, held items, main and off hand, headwear and back banner all follow the model's bones.
- Maid tracking markers survive shaders. They stay reliably visible with Iris / Sodium enabled.
- MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished support. Its drawers, cabinets, crates and other storage furniture hook into the maid wireless item transfer, and its tables are recognised as surfaces you can leave food on.
New gameplay in this fork
Threat response
Maids used to fight only while assigned the combat task — the rest of the time they would stand there and take hits. Every maid now has a threat response setting, toggled in her config screen:
| Setting | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Off | Original behaviour |
| Self-defence | She fights back when attacked while idle |
| Protect owner | She joins in when you are attacked |
Engaging is a temporary state — it does not overwrite her current work assignment. Two things go with it:
- She can attack passive creatures when told to, either through an AI instruction or a rule. On her own she will not attack passive, neutral or owned creatures.
- She can melee with whatever she is holding, including nothing at all.
Rewritten config screens
The global config screen has been rewritten. All AI-related settings are fully decoupled and moved into their own AI config screen, so each setting lives where you would expect it. Operators can now edit the singleplayer world's or the server's config file straight from the in-game menu instead of digging through files.
The AI config screen was rewritten too, and is far more usable: a site can be checked in place, which tells you whether it is unreachable or simply misconfigured; voices can be auditioned directly; API keys never leave the server; and saving takes effect immediately.
Commands are split along the same boundary. /tlm config is new in this fork — upstream only had
/tlm ai_chat, so editing a config file had no command that would apply it and you had to rejoin the
world or restart the server.
| Command | Purpose |
|---|---|
/tlm config reload |
Reload world rules |
/tlm ai_chat reload |
Reload AI sites and skills |
/tlm ai_chat status |
Print AI service status |
/tlm ai_chat sites |
List the LLM / TTS sites configured on the server |
Fixes in this fork
- The furnace backpack no longer shuffles items around or burns your fuel. Taking an item out of the middle no longer squeezes the rest forward, and fuel placed in an empty input slot is no longer smelted as an ingredient. Smelting progress also survives rejoining the world.
- One typo in a hand-edited config no longer makes the world unopenable — and unlike before, rolling back to a backup is no longer the only way out. The bad entry is skipped on its own and written to the log; every other setting still applies.
- Maids no longer lose off-hand items while eating.
- Maids no longer intercept a thrown Loyalty trident on its way back to you.
- Opening a maid's screen at the moment she despawns no longer crashes the client.
- The fire extinguisher now puts out soul fire.
- Maids keep following orders after a long conversation. No more agreeing to "follow me" or "sit down" and then not doing it.
- Picking a different voice language sticks. It no longer reverts to the chat language after a round or two, which previously needed the chat history cleared to undo.
- Cloud speech recognition no longer freezes the entire client when the network is slow.
- Maids equipped with a bow, crossbow, spell card (danmaku) or trident no longer crash a dedicated server when switching to ranged attack.

The Minecraft 1.21.11 Fabric builds of the mods below are ported and maintained by this organisation. There is no CurseForge project for them, so download them here:
| Mod | Purpose | Download |
|---|---|---|
| OpenYSM-Updated | Custom maid models (Yes Steve Model) | gege-tlph/OpenYSM-Updated |
| Patchouli | In-game guide book | gege-tlph/Patchouli |
| Maid Restaurant (addon) | Maid kitchen | gege-tlph/MaidRestaurant |
To give your maids custom models you need that OpenYSM-Updated build — this fork's bone attachment support targets it.
Not supported yet
Upstream has a number of third-party integrations this fork does not carry yet. In almost every case it is because there is no Minecraft 1.21.11 Fabric build on that side to integrate with:
EMI · Accessories · Immersive Melodies · Simple Hats · Ponder · Improved Mobs · Just More Cakes · TACZ · Iron Chests · Aquaculture · Superb Warfare · SlashBlade · The One Probe · ProxLib · Sophisticated Backpacks / Traveler's Backpack / ExtraContainer (all three route their integration through the Accessories slot API).
Embeddium is superseded by Sodium / Iris on Fabric, and both of those are supported. KubeJS support was dropped upstream.
None of this is permanent. As those mods get 1.21.11 Fabric builds, the integrations can be wired back up.
About the AI chat
The maid AI chat and voice features require you to supply your own service and API key. This mod neither provides nor proxies any service. Leave them unconfigured and nothing else in the mod is affected.
Reporting a problem
Please open an issue on GitHub and include:
logs/latest.logfrom the client — plus the server's log for dedicated-server issues — and the matching crash report- Your full mod list with versions, and the environment (singleplayer / LAN / dedicated server / behind a proxy)
- Reproduction steps, and whether it reproduces reliably — if not, roughly how often
- For AI chat issues, also: which service, which model tier, system TTS or remote TTS, and how many conversation turns preceded the problem
