Treasure2 adds to the thrill of discovery in Minecraft. This mod adds various new and rare chests of treasure to be discovered. The chests are secured by an assortment of locks and can only be unlocked by finding the corresponding keys.

Chests of various shapes and sizes can be discovered. Each chest having a different rarity which determines the likelihood of it being generated and the quality of its treasure.

 

keys_locks_title.png Various locks secure treasure chests, keeping you from your loot. You will need to find the corresponding keys to gain entry.

coins_gems.png You can use the pouch to store extra keys, locks, coins, and gems. You can use the Key Ring to hold multiple keys and it will act like a key, selecting the correct one from its inventory for the lock.

Without creating an entire sub-mod, Treasure2 adds a set of new weapons, standard versions and collectibles. They are geared towards a vanilla game, so they shouldn't be over-powered.

Treasure2 can be used as a stand-alone mod, however, there are only so many vanilla items to use as good loot. Treasure2 has been designed to use datapacks to populate treasure chest loot tables. Here is a Twilight Forest datapack to use in Treasure2:

Chests

Chests of various shapes and sizes can be discovered. Each chest having a different rarity which determines the likelihood of it being generated and the quality of its treasure.

Keys & Locks

Various locks secure treasure chests, keeping you from your loot. You will need to find the corresponding keys to gain entry.

Coins & Gems

Coins and Gemstones can be found as loot in treasure chests. They can be thrown into Wishing Wells to generate a random loot item.

You can use the pouch to store extra keys, locks, coins, and gems. You can use the Key Ring to hold multiple keys and it will act like a key, selecting the correct one from its inventory for the lock.

Wishing Wells

Discover 10+ different Wishing Wells. You can toss coins and gems into the wells to get random loot depending on their rarity. Wishing Well blocks cannot be harvested, ie they drop their vanilla counterparts, but you can construct a well by finding and using a Four-Leaf Clover on the blocks. They are a rare item that spawns by Wishing Wells and in Treasure Chests. You can also toss a locked chest into a well to remove all the locks... but there is a price to pay.

Weapons

Without creating an entire sub-mod, Treasure2 adds a set of new weapons, standard versions and collectibles. They are geared towards a vanilla game, so they shouldn't be over-powered.

A collection of Treasure2 weapons, with a tooltip for the Axe of Durin: Power Attack Chance 65%, Power Attack Damage +7, "...And my axe!", When in Main Hand: 12 Attack Damage, 1.4 Attack Speed.

Mimics

Mimics are back! Redesigned models and 5 new mimics (Cardboard, Crate, Moldy Crate, Viking and Cauldron).

Mimics appear to be simple chests, but awaken when someone attempts to open them. Be wary, mimics are very tough to kill and can inflict some heavy damage.
