About
Description
Yet another (albeit tiny) entry for Spooky Jam 2021!
Trick XOR Treat adds two mutually exclusive sword enchants to the game, Trick and Treat. Trick has a chance to play strange sounds when hitting entities, or to debuff them, meanwhile treat leaves a chance for entities to drop magical candy at their feet when hit.
The shorthand explanation
Both Trick and Treat reach a maximum enchantment level of 3 where there is a 15% chance for their given effect to apply for every hit (-5% per level below 3). Trick applies most vanilla debuffs, avoiding poison and wither. Treat randomly rolls from a pool of candy to drop.
Interested? Here's some more!
Though the only thing left to share are spoilers.. so have a spoiler filled with bullet points!
Candy Types:
- Cloudy Candy - Biting into this fluffy magical treat will send you floating into the air, and floating back down. (Levitation + Slow Falling)
- Creeper Chocolate - Made by creepers, from creepers, for creepers. Allows you to sneak around better and see through the darkness of the night (Invisibility + Night vision)
- Heroic Bar - Keeps you in the fight! (Strength + Resistance)
- Pigmen's Fools Gold - It may not be real gold, but it is real luck! (Luck + Haste)
- Sugar Bone - It is nothing but sugar.. Please do not feed to dogs! (Speed)
- Candy Rabbit - Makes you hopping mad (Jump Boost II)
- Flaming Dots - Blaze Co is not responsible for any injuries (Fire resistance)
- Dolphin Crunch - Made with real dolphin fins! (Dolphin's grace + Water breathing)
- Prismatic Flesh - It's sweet. Maybe a little too sweet. (Strength + Resistance + Speed + Jump Boost + Haste + Extended Nausea)
Can I put this in my modpacks?
Yes.

The shorthand explanation
Both Trick and Treat reach a maximum enchantment level of 3 where there is a 15% chance for their given effect to apply for every hit (-5% per level below 3). A few notes:
- Candy restores very little hunger but can be eaten at any time and quickly
- There is a small saturation buff for the candy
- Each candy has potion effects attached to them, some good, some bad. You can see the details in your inventory, as you can with any potion.
