About
Description
Tropicraft was designed to be your idyllic paradise adding a brand new tropical themed dimension full of crystal blue water, tons of new flora and fauna as well as building blocks, but with the mod updating from 1.7 to 1.10 to 1.12 many features were removed and many more bugs were introduced due to time constrains, and honestly I just got bored of waiting for someone else to fix it all so I started doing it myself.
This is a fork of Tropicraft for 1.12.2 designed to fix as many bugs as possible as well as reimplement features that have been lost over the years and bring some features from newer versions of the mod.
Some but not all the changes include lots of bug fixes with many more incoming, more integration with mods such as being able to cultivate the various plants from tropicraft in thermal expansion as well as being able to use it's many items in recipes from other mods. An extensive change log can be found here and a even more extensive list of bugs to fix and stuff to do can be found here.
**NEW**
- Reimplemented Zirconium as a tool material
- Backported the doors and trapdoors from TC 1.14+
- Added a new tooltype called Souzium Aqua that has the property of mining faster underwater but slower on land (is currently not craftable)
- Brought back the dart gun, but for the time being it just acts like a bow
- Added a new bamboo themed crafting table with help from ACGaming and whatevernick
- Brought back the Fire Pit as a decorational block (yes it can be crafted this time)
- The Coconut Bomb whitelist can now be turned on and off in the configs
- Coconut Bombs can now be found in various structures once again (also drops from tropi creepers)
- Added tons of blocks and items to their appropriate ore dictionary entries so now they can be used in even more recipes from other mods
- Many recipes now support the 1.12 recipe book (like anyone ever uses it)
- Brought back advancements (still need to work on em)
- Now bamboo can naturally grow up to 16 blocks instead of 3 (someone copy pasted sugar cane code and forgor to change a number)
**CHANGES**
- Nearly all mobs and structure chests across the mod now have exposed json loot tables
- Tropicreepers now have a back side to their shirts
- The Sifter now has a glass window on its texture and supports connected textures
**FIXES**
- Extensive fixes to the Encyclopedia Tropica including new pages for items that didn't have one, some items pointing to the wrong page, etc.
- The Coconut Bomb no longer acts like a throwable drill to bedrock (thanks to ACGaming)
- Tropical Water now has blast resistance and can't be destroyed by explosions anymore
- Fixed (most) blocks using stone sound effects (how has this been an issue since day one???)
**KNOWN-ISSUES**
- The mod is currently incompatible with mods like Buildcraft and Traverse due to conflicts in the way they each add biomes (I'm still looking into it)
