Grace Period Mod

Experience a forgiving take on hardcore survival multiplayer. The Grace Period Mod allows players to respawn and continue playing during a configurable grace window instead of being forced into spectator mode immediately upon death—perfect for SMP servers where you want stakes without permanent loss.

Key Features

✨ Configurable Grace Window

Set any duration (default 1 hour) for respawning after death. Hardcore mode restrictions are automatically lifted during the grace period.

⚱️ Corpse & Grave System

Bodies leave behind a barrel grave with a player head marker at the death location. All inventory items are automatically captured, preventing duplicate drops and making loot recovery intuitive.

🛡️ PvP Control

PvP damage is blocked during the grace period while PvE damage remains enabled, keeping the challenge alive and preventing spawn-camping.

⚙️ In-Game Admin Commands

Full control without server restarts:

/graceperiod status — View active state and remaining time.

/graceperiod set duration — Adjust grace window length.

/graceperiod set createCorpse <true|false> — Toggle grave system.

/graceperiod set showGraceNotifications <true|false> — Control chat broadcasts.
