Description

This mod is an Iron Spells n' Spellbooks addon featuring the Sound School from the Alshanex Familiars mod but rebranded as the Melodic School and greatly expanded.

First, the expansion introduces a new mechanic: Resonance. Now each time you cast a sound spell, you will leave behind a Segno marker. These markers interact with spells in different ways, but the most important one is that when you have full Bard Armor equipped, every sound spell you cast all the Segno markers will resonate and cast it again. The further the marker the longer it will take to resonate.

The Melodic School features these spells:

  • Chord Blast: performs a simple melody that hurts the enemy, and when someone hears this melody he can't evade it anymore.
  • Crescendo: performs a rumbling melody that hurts and stuns the enemy.
  • Grand Finale: performs an outrageous melody that traps the enemies and annihilates them with an explosive melody.
  • Celestial Chant: calls the angels to play an angelic melody that will heal and protect yourself and your allies.
  • Rhapsody: summons little birds that will cheer yourself and your allies, giving you a little boost for some time.
  • Sonata: starts playing a fast-paced song for everyone to hear, an harmonious melody to hurt your enemies.
  • Serenade: starts playing a slow-paced song for everyone to hear, an harmonious melody to make your enemies sleepy.
  • Fortissimo: plays an awful sound that knocks enemies back and deafens them.
  • Dal Segno: teleports you to the closest Segno marker.
  • Swift Melody: allows the caster to set a Segno marker at the position he looking at and can be recasted to teleport to that marker.
  • Hymn of Hope: performs a melody that influenciates allies in different ways: it will grant valor to allies with more than 75% healh, improving their attacking capabilities; allies with less than 75% health but more than 25% health will get hardened, increasing the survivability; and last but not least, allies with less than 25% health will get the last stand effect, becoming immune to damage for some seconds.
  • Slumber Note: shoots a projectile that makes the hit entity sleepy.
  • Clamor Note: shoots a projectile that deafens the entity hit.
  • Encore: forces the targeted player to recast the last spell he used.
  • Harmonic Aria: shoots a powerful melodical ray that deafens the entities in its way.
  • Piercing Solo: performs a strong melody that deafens enemies around you.
