# Turned around: Him
> Someone was here before you. They left a base, a diary... and a note.
Turned around: Him is a slow-burn horror mod about a single entity that watches you from far away and hides when you look. It starts with almost nothing. A shape at the edge of the trees. Footsteps that stop when you stop. Then it gets closer.
There is no ending. Only a loop.
---
## ⚠️ READ BEFORE PLAYING
- PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING. The mod uses sudden flashes, screen flicker, inverted colors, glitch/VHS effects, camera shake and full-screen jumpscares. **If you are sensitive to flashing images, do not play this mod.**
- Loud sounds and jumpscares. Some sounds are sudden and loud. Lower your volume if you play with headphones.
- He can kill you. At the final stage his touch is death. Death by Him **resets your progress and starts a new cycle**, and every cycle is faster than the last.
- The mod changes your world. It generates abandoned builds and strange structures, and sometimes moves things around near your base (doors, chests, torches, a broken window...). Nothing is ever deleted from your inventory. You can turn world traces off in the config.
- It never touches anything outside the game. No fake crashes, no files on your PC, no corrupted saves. Everything happens inside Minecraft.
- Public BETA. Expect bugs and balance problems. Please make a **backup of worlds you care about**.
- Meant for singleplayer. It also works on servers: every player gets their own Him, and nobody else sees him.
---
## What to expect (no spoilers)
- One entity, many faces. He stands far away and watches. He twists like something is wearing him. He stares at a point that isn't you. He kneels. He waves. Sometimes he runs.
- His mask breaks as things get worse. Watch it change.
- Looking at him has a price. The longer you stare, the more your body notices.
- "Someone is here." Footsteps, digging, doors, someone eating behind you. Usually it's only a sound. *Usually.*
- The previous player. Your world was played before. Their builds, their chests (sometimes with really good loot), their chopped trees, and their base with a diary and a note.
- A neighbour moves in. He's friendly. He's often at your window.
- The sky is not always the sky. Red skies, blood rain, things that shouldn't be up there.
- 40+ hand-made structures, from small traces of the previous player to things you will not want to go inside.
- Custom sounds, custom textures, custom screen effects. All made for this mod.

## How it works
Him has 5 stages. He pays more attention to you when you are alone, in the dark, deep underground, near your home, standing still or asleep. The more you look for him, the faster he finds you.
---

Made by **Kut0sz**. This mod was built **with the help of Claude (AI by Anthropic)**: code, sounds and textures were created together with AI and tested and directed by me.
## Feedback
This is a beta and your ideas matter. **Tell me what scared you, what didn't, and what you'd like to see next** in the comments. Bug reports with your `latest.log` help a lot.
*Don't look behind you.*
