Description

Some villages have survived. While some embrace the new technologies, others shun it. Regardless, all have evolved...

Salvage parts and use them in new technologies including a laser pistol, salvaged body armor, night vision goggles and more!
But the recipes must be FOUND in the form of DataChips, scattered across the ruins.

A set of Advancements will guide you along the way to creating new green energy solutions for you base! Seek out new ways to light your fortress and power your items with Solar power and Geothermal energy

The Data Station is your KEY to new technologies. If you find a DataChip, plug it into a Data Station to reveal the recipe it contains within.
(Okay now, enough of the flashy graphics... now for the simple explanation of what this mod is)
This Mod adds:
~Dozens of new structures to find, explore and loot!
~A new Urban Biome, dense with ruins, bots and more!
~A Total re-bot of vanilla Villages! These villages have all evolved over the years.
~A new Energy system. This is a purely visual based system. No confusing FE or master's degree needed to use.
~New mobs!
~New block and material sets including Aged Concrete, Mossy Concrete and Aged Wood. Includes standard recipes to convert to fences, slabs, etc...
~Several new rare food items
~New hidden recipes. These recipes are never given to the player, they MUST be found via Data Chips.
My Inspiration:
This is my official submission to the 2025 Modjam, themed "The Future"! The way I see the landscape here is that the world of Minecraft evolved. It grew, cities became mega cities, new technology emerged, robots and AI were harnessed... until it all went south sometime around the year 2390... after that, little remained, aside from the wreckage, and several villages that have since rebuilt after the great war.
I began working on this in mid-September of 2025 as soon as I heard about the mod jam. I'd love to take this mod so much further with more mobs, more powered blocks, and more locations to discover. As of now, this mod only affects the Overworld. But perhaps if folks give this mod enough love, and time permitting, I may update it to go even further. but for now, it felt very appropriate to just keep it as an overworld mod.
Modpacks:
I see this mod as a great starting post for any "future" mod that wants to add tech, robots, biomes and other "future" features. If you want to use this mod in a modpack, please feel free to do so. If you want to offer me a small bit of credit, I won't turn it down, but it is not required.
Dependancies: None!
Special Thanks to TinyTaru for their help in some coding, bouncing ideas off of and this sweet gif!
