Twilight Descent

Twilight Forest comes to the Overworld.

Explore broad Twilight regions among the Overworld's landscapes. Familiar trees, vegetation and underground features form distinct biomes, while Twilight landmarks are placed to suit the surrounding terrain. The original Twilight Forest dimension remains available.

Find Naga courtyards, dark towers, labyrinths and other Twilight structures without leaving the Overworld. The addon adapts their placement and elevation and keeps Twilight Forest as the source of their blocks, creatures and rewards.

Inside a Minotaur labyrinth — night vision enabled

Craft an atlas with four paper, a compass and an ink sac to preview a 20,000 × 20,000 block area. It includes surface and underground views and Twilight's familiar landmark icons. The first preview takes time to calculate; it does not generate the entire area. Completed previews are saved as map items bound to their world and region. Use the item to reopen the full map after rejoining.

Exploration atlas — Chinese interface

Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.20, Java 17, and The Twilight Forest 4.3.2508. Install the addon and its required dependency on both client and server.

Worlds and compatibility: Start a new world. Representative generation checks cover the vanilla Overworld and ReTerraForged 0.0.6. Other terrain mods and multiplayer are not yet verified. Existing worlds keep their saved generation settings; this release does not promise automatic activation in their unexplored chunks or migration from the earlier embedded edition.

Modpacks: Unmodified official binaries may be included in modpacks with the bundled license notice retained. Source code is not published.
