About

Description

A client-side Minecraft mod that protects you from "crasher" servers — servers that try to freeze or crash your game on purpose, usually to grief you or troll you. It works quietly in the background: you won't see it doing anything, you'll just notice your game doesn't crash when it normally would.

Works with Fabric and Quilt, on every major Minecraft version from 1.16.5 up to the current 26.2.

What it protects you from

Crash packets. Some malicious servers send fake "explosion" or "particle effect" messages with broken, absurd values (like an explosion happening a billion blocks away, or a firework spawning thousands of particles at once). A normal client tries to process this and freezes or crashes. This mod recognizes when a packet like that is clearly not a real, normal explosion or particle effect, and quietly throws it away before it can cause any trouble. You'll never notice — actual explosions and actual particle effects always look completely normal.

Giant nametags. Some servers try to crash you by giving a player or a mob an absurdly long name — thousands of characters — hoping your game will choke trying to draw it above their head. This mod caps any nametag at 64 characters; anything longer gets cut off with ... at the end, so it's still readable but can never be used to freeze your game.

Advancement spam. Some servers try to freeze you by granting and revoking every advancement over and over in a tight loop, flooding you with rebuilds and toast popups all at once. This mod holds those updates back while the flood is happening and only lets them through once the server goes quiet for a few seconds, so nothing is lost — it's just applied smoothly instead of all at once.

That's it — the mod doesn't change how you play, doesn't add any items, settings, or keybinds, and doesn't affect servers that behave normally.

No configuration needed — it just works.!
