Uncrafter - Turn Items Back Into Ingredients

Have you ever made an item and wondered if you could retrieve the ingredients? Uncrafter is a mod that provides a special block, allowing you to uncraft recipes and get back ingredients of items which you don’t require anymore.

You can put an item in the Uncrafter, see the recipe of the item, and obtain the ingredients via a custom-made user interface. The Uncrafter mod will be helpful for both vanilla and modded items.

🔄 Reverse Crafting

• Place an item into the Uncrafter to display its recipe.
• Recover ingredients one at a time.

• Settings that affect the balance of the uncrafting process.

🛠️ Damaged Tool Recovery

Damaged tools can be partially uncrafted. The number of ingredients returned depends on the tool's remaining durability, helping make the mechanic more balanced.

📖 Recipe Viewer Integration

• Browse supported uncrafting recipes through a dedicated JEI/REI recipe category.
• Check which ingredients can be recovered from an item.
• Use recipe information to understand the uncrafting process before using the block.

🏆 Advancements and Tooltips

• Earn advancements for your first uncraft and your first Upgraded uncraft.
• Read helpful item tooltips explaining how many ingredients can be taken.
• Access English-language configuration options and descriptions.

Uncrafter is designed to work with vanilla recipes and modded items. Actual compatibility depends on the recipe types, mod loader, game version, and other installed mods.

Recipe viewer integration is available for supported JEI/REI setups.
