Unrelated Additions
No reviews yet
Random collection of unrelated blocks (e.g. compressed blocks), items (e.g. a magnet), and tools (a hammer that breaks 3x3), generally mixed stuff with no set theme and probably more to come
Features systems for better item storage and organization.

Unrelated Additions
What is this?
Unrelated Additions started as a collection of blocks, items and tools that my friends and I were missing in our current 1.19 world.
But since then it has already grown into something bigger. By now my goal is it to implement many features, from similar mods that are old and unmaintained (like OpenBlocks) - in my own interpretation. There is no bigger theme or connection between the various added things.
What do I get?
So far this mod includes:
-
Magnet
The magnet (when enabled, viaSHIFT + right click) increases the pickup range up to three blocks around the player (other mods can exclude items from this using the tag forge:magnet_blacklist) -
Hammer and Spade
Need to make some room underground for your big project or want to quickly farm all the sand for your glass dome? These tools will affect a 3x3x1 Area around the targeted block when breaking it. Hammers act like Pickaxes, and Spades act like Shovels. Each comes in all usual tool materials (+ Bronze*) except Netherite. -
Tiny (Char) Coal
Annoyed when you have 7 ores or raw meat that you need to smelt but don't want to waste the tiny bit of coal for the 8th item? Well break your coal into 8 pieces and smelt 1 item with each. -
Compressed Block
Are your chests overflowing with cobble, cobbled deepslate, dirt, (red) sand, gravel or even Granite, Diorite, Andesite? Just put 9 of the same block into the crafting table and compress them.
Each block can be compressed up to a certain point- Cobble and Cobbled Deepslate: 6 times
- Dirt, Sand, Red Sand: 3 times
- Gravel: 2 times
- Granite, Diorite, Andesite: 1 time
-
Angel Block
The Angel Block can be placed in the air without need an adjacent block to it. When broken it doesn't drop as usual, instead it's put right back into the inventory. This can be useful to start a build high up in the air or the (not so endless) void of the end. -
Colored Flag
Always getting lost in caves? Don't remember your way home? Place these pointy flags along your way, and you will always find the way back. -
Rope ladder (version 0.4.4)
Looking for an easy way down a ravine or cliff? You can't place normal ladders because you're standing on an overhang, and you don't feel like digging a staircase? Place the rope ladder on the edge and climb down, it doesn't get easier. -
Liquid XP Storage (version 0.7.2)
Having too much xp? Build an XP Drain put in on top of a Tank (Tank is not included**) and convert your experience points into XP Juice. To get it back, stick an XP Shower on the tank's side and let it rain xp down on you.
I'm also open to suggestions, but I won't promise anything.
* Requires a mod that adds Bronze Ingots to be crafted ** Requires a mod that adds fluid tanks to be used
More I should know?
All textures are to be considered Development Textures, I'm not an artist
If this gets traction and grows further I may invest in some proper textures
