A Vanilla+ Expansion for 26.x and 1.21.x
This is an expansion to Vanilla+ that adds new Animal Variants, new Structures, new Music Discs, a new Enchantment, and new Armor Trim Materials! Remember, you must have Vanilla+ installed for Vanilla++ to work. The version number of Vanilla++ corresponds to the Vanilla+ version you need.
Watch the video below for a summary of everything in Vanilla++ up to Version 21.0!
Check the gallery for images of the new structures!
Structures:
- Trial Boxes: Based on the mechanics of Trial Chambers, there are two new structures that offer up unique loot for different challenges! These are the Aqua Box (which generates in any Deep Oceans), and the Sky Box (which generates in the skies above many biomes). There is some loot from Vanilla+ specifically, so be sure to look out for those!
- Monster Jails: This structure is found underground, and you can think of it as the companion piece to the Monster Rooms, better known as Dungeons. It uses the same building style, just with a single Trial Spawner, a couple vaults and chests, and a secret room in each one!
- End Shanties: a small hut in the outer End. It generates rarely, and doesn't always have great loot. It's mainly meant to add a bit of mystery / life to the outer End. (Y'all want an End update? I'm interested in developing the End further in this pack, so I hope you look forward to it!)
- Pale Monument and Tuff Monument: Two monuments that each house a Locked Chest. It can only be opened using a Small Key found in a Stronghold. The Pale Monument spawns in Cherry Groves, and the Tuff Monument spawns in Old Growth Spruce Forests.
- Abandoned Campsites: Campsites that can be found in two different biomes. The Birch Campsite is found in Old Growth Birch Forests, and the Snowy Campsite is found in Snowy Plains. Each has a barrel with some basic food supplies, the potential for rare Apples, and maybe even a special Goat Horn!

Mobs:
- Animal Variants: 6 new animal variants from Minecraft: Earth! First up is the Skewbald Chicken, which spawns in Birch Forests. Then we have the Duck, which has the texture from Minecraft: Dungeons. Next are the Moobloom and Moolip; the Moobloom and Moolip both spawn in Flower Forests, and the Moobloom also spawns in Sunflower Plains. Unfortunately they have not added Mooshroom variants to data packs, so they're not exact replicas. Finally, there are two Pig variants: the Piebald Pig, which spawns in Cherry Groves, and the Muddy Pig, which spawns in Swamps.
New Items:
- Core Enchantment: this is mostly found in structures, but can possibly appear in an Enchanting Table if you're lucky. It can be applied to Chestplates and Elytras, and it upgrades your Max Health when worn! It goes from Levels I - IV, with Level IV granting you an entire extra Health bar! You're likely to find this in both Monster Jails and Sky Boxes, so be on the lookout for secret areas in those structures where it has a chance of generating!
- Paintings: the four elemental paintings ("Earth", "Fire", "Wind", "Water") can now be placed in Vanilla. However, I've also added two paintings made by me! The first is "Terminus," depicting an End City. It's inspired by "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. The second is "A Stain on the Forest," depicting a Woodland Mansion surrounded by trees. This one is just based on a screenshot I took. Both of these are meant to serve the same purpose as the "Wither" painting; to hint at the existence of certain things in the game.
- Music Discs: These are not songs that I made, but rather songs by C418! One is "Dog," which is on Minecraft: Volume Alpha but doesn't appear in the Vanilla game. It can be found in the secret area of Monster Jails. The other is "Wanderstop," from C418's new game by the same name. This disc is found in Sky Box chests. Be sure to check out more from C418 at his website!
- Trim Materials: You can now craft 16 different Dyed Quartz variants! Simply take 1 Quartz and 1 Dye to craft 2 Dyed Quartz of the color used. These are used solely to add dye colors to your Armor in place of minerals. Do note, not all Armor item textures have been set up for these, as it takes a LOT of files for those to work, but they will be fixed in the future. Additionally, I plan to expand the color options to all the extra dye color combinations added in Vanilla+ as well.
