Description

Velocity Verse is a superpower mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) inspired by the Flash and Arrow TV universe. You become a metahuman, level your power up by using it, and fight what the powers attract.

Requires GeckoLib 4.8 or newer.

The powers

  • Speedster: run at up to 110 blocks per second, run on water and up walls, phase through walls, hold the punch key for a barrage of hits, wear 3D speedster suits, and step into the Speed Force, a pitch-black dimension lit by lightning where every block you run is ten in the world.
  • Negative speedster: red lightning, a phasing hand that goes through armour and heals you, and Speed Drain.
  • Frost: become Killer Frost for a while, with an ice ray, a frost nova, ice walls, a glacier path and ice armour.
  • Vibe: vibration blasts, short hops, Vibe Sense, Vibing (freeze time to replay what happened) and dimensional breaches to any coordinates.
  • Sonic Siren: a sonic scream, a sonic pulse and an echo call.
  • Pyro: flame blasts, a fire nova, a flame dash, and the Firestorm, where the Professor fuses with you and you fly.
  • Weather Wizard: lightning strikes, gales, storms and a tsunami.

How you get a power

  • Build the particle accelerator (a 15 by 15 hall) and fire it. It is a gamble: about 5% die, 20% get a power, 30% fall into a coma and the rest are injured. Fire it in a thunderstorm and one lucky player is struck by lightning and becomes a speedster. The blast scorches the land, mutates the monsters and leaves a mutant zone behind.
  • Craft the Speed Reagent and throw it in a thunderstorm, or load a Chemical Rack and wait for lightning.
  • Find a cryo vault under an ice spike and survive the fog for Frost.
  • Rift villains step out of breaches that open near power-holders. They give XP and Dark Matter Shards.

Made for singleplayer and servers. Every setting is a game rule (type /gamerule vv to list them). All players and the server need the same version.
