[Veloryx] - Aether

Aether is a mysterious resource that exists somewhere between magic and technology.

Veloryx Aether introduces a new resource system centered around Ether, its processing stages, and rare manifestations that can appear directly in the world.

Ether is more than just another ore. Players must mine Aether-bearing materials, refine them through several stages, and keep an eye out for natural Aether manifestations in order to obtain its more valuable forms.

⛏️ Aether Ore

Aether deposits can generate naturally underground in several forms, including different variants suited for different underground layers.

Mining the ore is only the first step. The material can be progressively refined into more valuable forms.

⚗️ Aether Processing

Aether can be processed through several stages:

Raw Aether Ore → Washed Aether Ore → Purified Aether Ore → Concentrated Aether Ore

Each stage represents a further refinement and concentration of Aether.

Processed materials can be used to create Aether Ingots, one of the core materials introduced by the mod.

✧ Aether Essence

Aether Essence is another form of Aether that cannot be obtained through ordinary ore processing alone.

It is connected to Aether's natural manifestations and serves as a separate valuable resource.

⚡ Aether Surges

From time to time, Aether Surges can appear a few blocks away from the player as small clusters of floating Aether particles.

These manifestations cannot simply be picked up or mined. Players must find the particles and right-click them to collect the surge.

After interacting with it, the Aether Surge disappears and the player receives Aether Essence.

This turns obtaining Aether Essence into a small moment of exploration and awareness: an Aether manifestation can appear near you at any time, and you need to notice it before you can collect it.

Veloryx Aether is designed as the foundation for a future technomagic progression.

Aether is not intended to be just another crafting material. It is a separate system that will eventually connect exploration, resource processing, magic, and technology.

The mod is part of the broader Veloryx concept, where magical and technological systems gradually begin to converge through the discovery and use of Ether.
