Description

Overview

(This information is intended for the v1.0.0-1.16.5 version, and will be updated accordingly as the mod is. Additionally, I heavily suggest using Just Enough Items or a similar mod to view the recipes; the majority are somewhat complex, being late game.)

Versal Ordnance adds a weapon - the Withered Cleaver - various materials to make it, a sidegrade armour set that focuses on exploration potential and manoeuvrability over raw defense, various potions (and the materials to make them), and a new liquid.

The Withered Cleaver deals a hefty 27 attack damage, is slower than a normal sword and faster than an axe, and inflicts Wither II and Poison II on hit. To craft it, you will need a Netherite Block, Netherite Sword, Wither Skeleton Skull, and two new items - the Corrupted Nether Star, created by smithing Dark Fluid(we'll get to that in a moment) with a Nether Star. You will also need an Artificial Dragonbone, which requires a bucket of Dark Fluid, a bone block, and a vial of dragon breath to craft.

Dark Fluid is a new liquid that generates in lakes in the End - it functions similarly to lava, dealing damage on contact. It flows backwards, causing players, items, and mobs to be sucked in, and presenting a new and confusing threat for anyone encountering it unprepared. This may serve some utility for redstone, although given it burns most items I doubt it will be of great use.

Aqualium is an armour set with the same defense as, and serving as a direct upgrade from, Chainmail. To create it, you will need each piece of Chainmail, Gold Ingots, Dried Kelp, and Prismarine Shards. It has a higher level of durability than Netherite; when the full set is equipped, you can press the RIGHT CONTROL (changeable in keybinds) key to perform a dash, which has a cooldown of 2.5 seconds.

Finally, it adds three new potions - Vitality, which boosts your maximum HP as long as it is active, Fortitude, which grants Resistance, and Impetuosity, which grants Haste. Potions of Vitality can be created by brewing a bucket of Dark Fluid into a Potion of Healing II, Potions of Fortitude can be created by brewing an Artificial Dragonbone into a Potion of Strength, and Potions of Impetuosity can be created by brewing a Popped Chorus Fruit into a Potion of Speed.

Compatibility

The Withered Cleaver supports any forge:bones/dragon for the handle; accordingly, the Artificial Dragonbone is tagged as such.

Dark Fluid should generate in modded End biomes without issue.

Roadmap

A port to Forge 1.18.2 and Fabric(and by extension Quilt) 1.19.2 is planned - 1.18.2 will be when the 1.16.5 version of the mod is "done". Fabric 1.19.2 is pending and may or may not happen.
The addition of a new alloy, Verstaltite, and corresponding equipment - Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Hammer, and armour - may happen in the future(likely around the same time as the Fabric/Quilt port). The textures for the tools are ~50% complete, and the armour has not begun work. As of now, this is the mod.

Most ideas for the contents of this mod so far were given by my friends. Thank you for bringing this to life.
