Very Berry Mod

Features

Adds 3 new berries to the game - the Rimeberry, the Fireshine Berry and the Thornberry. Adds 3* new foods to the game - the Rimeberry Muffin, the Fireshine Berry Juice and different types of Thornberry Chips. Adds 1 new potion effect to the game - the Thorny effect, making enemies take damage when hurting you.

Berries

Rimeberry

Can be found in snowy biomes, like Jagged Peaks and Snowy Slopes. The berries grow on a bush like Sweet Berries, but the bush can only grow on snow blocks! Rimeberries give a very short Resistance buff when consumed.

Fireshine Berry

Can be found in the Nether Wastes biome, hanging from the ceiling. These hanging plants can be climbed and berry-bearing parts of the plant can be right-clicked to harvest Fireshine Berries! They provide as much hunger and saturation as Sweet Berries, but also give you a short burst of Fire Resistance, making your Nether journey a bit more safe!

Thornberry

Can be found growing on cacti in the desert. Right-clicking a cactus branch bearing a full-grown Thornberry will yield a delicious prickly berry! While they don't give much nutrition, they grant you a new effect making enemies think twice about striking you!

Foods

Rimeberry Muffins

These muffins are quite satiating, for a fruity snack! They also provide you with a long lasting Resistance buff. Made with 2 pieces of Wheat, 2 Rimeberries and a Bucket of Milk. (You get the Bucket back, don't worry!)

Fireshine Berry Juice

Juicing these berries not only increases their nutritional value, but also prolongs the Fire Resistance effect they give! Made with 4 Fireshine Berries, some Sugar and a Glass Bottle to drink it from.

Thornberry Chips

If you go through the process of slicing and baking you get a (not so) nutritious snack, that gives you a prolonged Thorny effect. They can be combined into bunches of 4, and even bundled for a treat that lasts! Slicing a Thornberry yields 4 slices, which can then be smoked or baked at a campfire to make Thornberry Chips. These can be bunched together in packs of 4, and finally bundled up to store your greasy chips more conveniently.
