Vesper Wilds is a passion project created by Myself as part of a journey into Minecraft modding and Java development.

While this mod is fully functional and, somewhat, stable, please keep in mind that it is a "Hobby Mod." Features are developed as I learn new coding concepts, and updates may come in bursts. Feedback is always welcome, but please be patient with bugs as I squash them!

Currently doing 1.21.11 as that's the latest version to work with, but potentially more versions supported as I learn more!

The Lore

The Overworld is changing. Travelers have begun to report strange pockets of land where the sun never seems to fully rise—a place where the air hums with a quiet, purple static.

They call it the Vesper Wilds.

Scholars believe these biomes are not natural to our world, but are "leaks" from a dimension of eternal twilight. In these zones, the flora has adapted to the darkness, evolving into the soft, luxurious Velvet Forests. Deep beneath the soil, the earth has reacted to this alien energy, crystallizing into a new, volatile resource known as Vesperite.

Is this a natural phenomenon, or the beginning of an invasion? For now, we only mine the ores and chop the wood... but something else might be waking up in the dark.

What's Currently In?

• New Biome: Explore the Vesper Grove, a purple-hued land of eternal twilight.
• Velvet Wood Set: A complete family of building blocks (Logs, Planks, Stairs, Slabs, Fences, Doors, etc.) with a distinct lavender/twilight palette.
• Vesperite Ore: A rare new mineral found deep underground. Currently useless, but will have more crafting recipes coming soon.
• Glint Berries: A bioluminescent food source that lights up the forest floor.

As I continue to learn, I plan to expand the "Vesper" influence:

• Tools & Armor: Turning Vesperite into high-tier gear.
• Corrupted Mobs: Mobs that have been touched by the Vesper energy.
• The Source: A potential portal or ritual to find where this energy is coming from.
