Description

I've always liked shaders, but recently they've felt too realistic. Something about the skybox, water, or just the fuzzy shadows doesn't feel Minecraft-y to me. So, I made this mod. As you can see in the picture above, lights now cast shadows with clean edges, which (I think) keeps the vanilla feel. There is also shadow-d light from the sun/moon, but that isn't displayed here.

Also, this mod is incompatible with shaders, likely because of the reflective blocks.

This is Vibrancy, a mod that aims to rework Minecraft's lighting system, while keeping the feel of the game. It has raytraced shadows, colored lights, and a bunch of config options, among other features. If you want to add compatibility with your mod, add or modify block lights, or just learn how the mod works, visit the wiki.
Note: Is compatible with sable/create aeronautics!
Dependencies
- Big Shot Lib
- Yet Another Config Lib for 4.1.0 and up
- Cloth Config from 3.0.10 to 4.0.8
- Fzzy Config for 3.0.9 and below
Incompatibilities
- Iris: While technically possible, I won't be doing it since this mod is a replacement for shaders and combining it with a shaderpack would look wrong.
