Description
Video Camera turns regular Minecraft into a more cinematic and atmospheric experience by adding a real VHS-style camera with a live screen, recording mode, custom darkness, and night vision!
This isn't just an item you hold in your hand - the camera actually displays the world around you, has its own working LCD screen built into the model, and includes a full-screen view through the camera lens.
✨ Features
- Fully modeled 3D VHS camera
- Live LCD screen directly on the camera model
- Fullscreen camera mode activated with right-click
- Custom extremely dark nights
- Night vision for the camera
- Customizable keybinds
📹 Camera System
Right-click while holding the camera to enter a fullscreen view through the lens.
The LCD screen on the camera model displays the same view as the player sees.
The regular Minecraft HUD is not rendered on the LCD, making the display feel more like a real camera screen.
The recording interface, frame overlays, REC indicator, and battery display help recreate the look and feel of an old VHS camera.
🌙 Custom Darkness
Nights become much darker.
Caves and other dark areas feel significantly more dangerous.
Custom darkness can be disabled in the mod settings.
This effect works even when you're not using the camera, making the world itself feel much scarier.
🟢 Night Vision
Night vision can only be enabled through the camera.
The effect works both in fullscreen camera mode and on the camera's LCD screen.
Outside of the camera, the player does not receive the usual overpowered Minecraft night vision effect.
Perfect for horror modpacks, nighttime exploration, and atmospheric survival gameplay.

⚙️ Settings
- Toggle Night Vision keybind
- Custom Darkness ON/OFF - can be disabled in the mod settings
- All keybinds can be changed in Minecraft's Controls settings
⭐️ Other Features
- The camera cannot be used in the off-hand
- Perfect for horror mods and horror modpacks
- Works as a proper visual tool rather than just a decorative item
📌 Important
Video Camera is made for players who want to experience Minecraft through the screen of an old camera instead of simply holding a cool-looking item.
The mod is at its best during nighttime, inside caves, or as part of a horror modpack.
