Villager Food Tags

Allows villagers to pick up and use modded foods in Minecraft 1.21.1.
Want villagers to be able to eat Pumpkin Pie, berries or foods added by your favourite mods?

Add those items or tags to the config or a datapack and this mod lets villagers use them.

Customise what villagers eat without waiting for your favourite mods to update to Minecraft 26.4

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1+
  • NeoForge 21.1.244+

Datapack Usage

Villager Food Tags supports both config-based food values and datapack food values.

 

Example villager food data map:

Create this file in a datapack:

data/villagerfoodtags/data_maps/item/villager_food.json

Edit the villager_food.json file to include the following example:

or edit it to your heart's content.
