About

Description

Summary

Vocation Tome lets you capture a villager’s entire trade knowledge in a single book, then imprint it onto any other villager. Manage dozens of professions through one villager, rescue irreplaceable trades, and build the ultimate portable library of professions.

Description

Vocation Tome isn’t just a tool — it’s a completely new way to manage villagers. Instead of building endless rows of job-site blocks and minecart prisons, you reduce your entire trading empire to a handful of books.

One Villager, Every Profession

Because the Tome fully overwrites a villager’s profession, level, and trades, you can cycle multiple professions through a single, easy-to-reach villager.

  • Want mending books? Apply the Librarian tome.
  • Need golden carrots? Swap to the Farmer tome.

One trading hall, one villager, zero hassle. No more cramming twenty villagers into a noisy chamber.

Trade Preservation & Transfer

Got a villager with a perfect, painstakingly unlocked trade? Store it in a Vocation Tome. The book saves everything — profession, level, experience, and every single trade with its exact pricing and usage limits.

Use it to:

  • Move a valuable trade to a safer or more convenient location.
  • Duplicate a perfect trade across multiple villagers (yes, one trapped source villager can arm an entire army of blank slates).
  • Create a backup. If a creeper erases your master armorer, just apply the backup tome to a fresh unemployed villager.

Inventory‑Friendly Design

  • The item name changes dynamically — you’ll see Vocation Tome (Librarian‑2) at a glance, no NBT digging required.
  • Hold Shift to browse every stored trade, complete with quantities and items.

Sensible Restrictions & Feedback

  • By default, the Tome refuses to overwrite a villager that already has a profession, preventing accidents. This can be toggled on for full freedom.
  • Every blocked action explains itself in the action bar — no silent failures.
  • In survival, extracting a profession consumes a regular Book. Applying a Tome returns a Book by default (configurable), keeping the loop clean.

Perfect for Multiplayer and Advanced Play

  • Trade Tomes with other players on a server. Your friend just bred a perfect Librarian? Ask for a copy.
  • Set up adventure‑map shops or custom trading stations using command‑spawned Tomes.
  • Temporarily “borrow” a profession from a wild villager to transport it to your base.

Vocation Tome fits naturally into vanilla survival, adding no GUIs or complex machines — only a clever book and a deeper layer of villager strategy.

Item Details

· The item name dynamically shows the stored profession and level (e.g. “Vocation Tome (Librarian‑2)”).

· Hold Shift in the inventory to see every trade stored in the book.

Server‑only Logic

All interactions are handled entirely on the server, making the mod multiplayer‑safe and light on clients.

Vocation Tome is designed to feel like a natural, vanilla‑style utility — no GUIs, no machines, just a book that knows a villager’s craft.
