About

Description

Villainous Difficulty Multipliers is based on Halo's skull system. A small selection of game modifying difficulty multipliers can be applied to your game.

The mod currently adds 23 difficulty multipliers, some determined to make the game more difficult, and others dedicated to making it a little easier. In the future more difficulty increasing multipliers may be added.

To activate or deactivate multipliers, you need to be an operator with at least level 2 permissions (cheat commands enabled.) For single player, cheats need to be enabled. Alternatively if you have config access, they can be edited in the world's server config folder.

Access to the mod's features is entirely command based at the moment. Below is a list of those commands

/vdm help - Shows a list of commands and what they do ingame.
/vdm list - lists all available difficulty multipliers (and keywords that control combinations of them)
/vdm activelist - shows all currently active difficulty multipliers.
/vdm check <difficulty multiplier> -  Gives a description of what a given multiplier or keyword does.
-=Requires permission level 2=-
/vdm activate <multiplier> - Activates the entered difficulty multiplier
/vdm deactivate <multiplier> - Deactivates the entered difficulty multiplier.

And in this spoiler, all of the difficulty modifiers are explained

* Aging - We all get old at some point. Upon breeding 4 times, animals and villagers will die of old age.

* Anger - Pillagers, Skeletons, Strays, and Witches all have significantly sped up attack rates.

* Black Eye - When you take damage, your ability to heal is nullified until you hit a monster or a player with a melee attack. Punch 'em in the chin!

* Blacksmithing - Stronger understanding of proper anvil usage makes you less likely to damage it.

* Cannon - Bombs away! Creepers always explode on death, regardless of method

* Celebration - Npc villagers may celebrate on any given day

* Fatigue - Phantoms are a lame punishment for lack of sleep. Enjoy debuffs and eventual death by lack of sleep with this modifier!

* Flammable - Entities on fire will stay on fire until water is applied (or they have died)

* Fuel Efficient - Modern furnaces can get 4 times the use out of fuel.

* Hardened - All hostile mobs get increased health!

* Karmic Justice - There is a 1 in 20 chance any animal usually farmed for food will explode violently when a player hits them. Tread Lightly.

* Kinetic - Future technology embedded into your skin allows you to store up kinetic energy from attacks to release on your foes on your next attack, adding up to 50 hearts of damage maximum.

* Pandemic - All living entities that harm you have a chance to infect you with Immortuos Calyx, even if they aren't infected themselves. Requires Immortuos Calyx to be installed to function

* Rested - Resting works wonders to heal you...

* Shift - Fighting the same zombies gets old. Zombies are converted to drowned, husks, or zombie villagers instantly, skeletons are converted to strays instantly, and creepers are always supercharged.

* Soft Skin - Your particularly soft skin makes you more vulnerable to damage. All incoming damage has an extra 50% added to it.

* Undying - When you are about to die, you're instantly brought back to full health. Allows you to get back into the fight immediately, but does still increase your death counters.

* Unstable - Creeper explosions and Ghast fireballs have a larger explosion radius. For all your mass terrain destruction needs.

* Vegetarian - Eating meat makes you feel sick to your stomach. Whether or not it's for moral reasons, health reasons, or anything in between.

* Venom - Cave spiders inflict poison for a brief moment on easy, and both wither and poison on normal and hard. Spiders also get the ability to poison you for a shorter amount of time.

* Warranty - Tools may be replaced when they are destroyed.

* Wild - Your attacks cause a surge of uncontrollable magic to manifest.. for better or worse.

* Wrong - That's just... Wrong - Some neutral mobs may have more aggression towards you.

-=Keywords=-
* Heroic - All difficulty increasing multipliers are enabled or disabled at once.
* Keystothecity - All difficulty decreasing multipliers are enabled or disabled at once.

Can you beat Minecraft with all of these on? Of course you can. Nevertheless, good luck out there! :)
