Description

VoteSpinner

VoteSpinner is a server-focused reward mod that turns voting rewards into portable, inventory-based prize spinners.

Instead of travelling to a physical vote crate, players receive a spinner item that can be opened and used from anywhere. Server owners can create different spinner types, configure their rewards through an in-game interface, and include both physical items and server commands in the reward pool.

Features

  • Portable vote crate-style items
  • No physical crate block required
  • Inventory-based spinning interface
  • Animated reward selection
  • Multiple configurable spinner types
  • Item and command rewards
  • In-game reward pool management
  • Integration with Votifier-compatible voting systems
  • Unique spinner tracking to help detect duplicated items
  • Configurable duplicate-handling options

How It Works

Players receive a VoteSpinner item as a voting reward.

  • Right-click the spinner to preview its possible rewards.
  • Sneak and right-click to use the spinner and begin the reward animation.
  • Once the animation finishes, the selected item or command reward is given to the player.

Each spinner type can have its own appearance, name, reward pool, and settings.

Reward Pool Management

Server administrators can configure spinner rewards through an in-game menu.

Physical items can be placed directly into the reward pool, allowing their full metadata to be preserved, including:

  • Enchantments
  • Custom names
  • Lore
  • Modded item data
  • NBT information

Command rewards can also be added, allowing VoteSpinner to provide rewards such as:

  • Economy currency
  • Permission groups
  • Kits
  • Crate keys
  • Experience
  • Broadcast messages
  • Rewards from other installed mods or plugins

Commands are executed by the server when selected and can include player placeholders.

Duplicate Detection

Every generated spinner can be assigned a unique identifier.

When a spinner is used, its identifier is recorded. If the same identifier is detected again, the spin can still continue normally while the event is recorded for server staff to review.

This allows suspicious duplicated items to be investigated without immediately alerting the player.

Duplicate handling can be configured depending on how the server wishes to manage potentially duplicated rewards.

Server Use

VoteSpinner is designed for servers that want voting rewards without requiring players to visit a crate area.

It is suitable for:

  • Survival servers
  • Modpacks
  • Economy servers
  • Network reward systems
  • Daily or event rewards
  • Login rewards
  • Donator reward items

Although designed around voting rewards, spinners can also be distributed through commands, quests, shops, events, or other server systems.

Installation

  1. Install the required version of Minecraft Forge.

  2. Install any listed dependencies.

  3. Place the VoteSpinner .jar inside the server’s mods folder.

  4. Restart the server.

  5. Configure your spinner types and reward pools in-game.

VoteSpinner is primarily intended for server use. Client installation requirements may depend on the version and configuration of the mod.
