Being in a light level below the threshold hurts. The darker it is, the more it hurts.
Developed specifically to be paired with Vulcan's Flashlights and Vulcan's Darkness.


ADDITIONS - What's Included?

FUNCTIONS - What do they do?

  • Damage from darkness. More darkness, more hurt.
  • All configed, light can hurt and darkness could be safety instead.
  • Custom damage types for light or dark, promoting Vampires vs Hunters
  • Moonlight counts as light. Thunderstorms block light.
  • Lit Vulcan's Flashlight or Miner's Helmet counts as light (until the battery runs out)
  • Light Sensitivity effect makes darkness hurt more faster
  • Can heal from light or darkness levels
  • Heavily configurable for modpack or server needs
  • Add or remove mobs from light level damage

CONFIG OPTIONS - How can I change certain aspects?

Many of our functions are optional and you can tailor the mod through our config file!

  • Darkness or Light hurts
  • Healing via Light or Dark
  • Safe light level, damage amount, hit speed and warning time
  • Strength of damage per light level
  • Type of recovery from light level damage
  • Dimension specific light level damage (or lack thereof)
  • Mobs affected by light level damage (more so or not at all)
  • On/off moonlight
  • Add other mod's light sources tot he permissible light lists
  • On/off light level damage piercing armor
