New Challenges Await

Wannabe Bosses adds a collection of powerful yet balanced (for vanilla) custom bosses designed to high-intensity encounters into Minecraft. Each boss has its own identity, attack patterns, visual effects, custom boss bar, soundtrack support, and phase-based combat.

Please keep in mind that this is a beta version and this is also my first mod ever. More animations are WIP and need to be polished first. 11th July 2026 Update: the mod is currently in a stable version. The 1.0.10 update brings this mod available for survival play!

This project was made for my modpack: Skybound Origins (please check it out). However, you can use this mod in your modpack as well.

Feel free to make videos or other stuff, just don't claim the mod is yours ;) Any feedback is much appreciated.

Current Bosses

Nyx, Goddess of Night and Darkness

A void keeper boss who commands purple celestial energy, meteors, magical projectiles, and final-phase orb manifestations. Nyx uses custom visual effects, spellcasting animations, and a unique custom boss bar to create a dark fantasy encounter. To summon the Night Goddess, you need to interact with her altar via an End Crystal.

Madara Uchiha

A fast and aggressive multi-phase boss with melee pressure, fire attacks, Genjutsu effects, an attack inspired by Chibaku Tensei and a final phase empowered by Susanoo. To summon Madara, you need to interact with flint and steel via his altar.

Darth Varyn, Ancient Sith Lord

A dark cyber-Sith inspired boss who uses devastating custom attacks such as Sith Force Execution, Dark Saber Rift, and Dark Side Groundbreaker. Expect leap attacks, shockwaves, rune markers and final-phase pressure. To summon him you need to interect with his altar via a Nether Star.

Custom sounds are WIP, for now the sounds are from the Wither and other Minecraft stuff.
