Description

Warium: Machine Uprising

Warium’s machines fight back. A survival-horror addon for Warium that sends rare roaming robots, air raids and full-scale invasion waves after the player.

Warium’s machines usually wait inside their bases for you to find them. This mod changes that. It adds no new entities or textures. It uses Warium’s own robots, tanks and aircraft and sends them after you on a schedule.

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge 47+ · Warium (crusty_chunks) 1.3.5+

⚔️ Features

🤖 Rare Roaming Machines

  • Every 3 minutes there is a chance (8% by default) that a lone Warium robot spawns 80–112 blocks from you.
  • Any ground robot can appear: Scout, Rifler, Striker, Breacher, Assassin, Reaper, Mortarer, Worker or Commander.
  • It happens day or night, so you can never fully relax.

✈️ Periodic Air Raids

  • Every 20 in-game days, a Raid Scout circles above you.
  • It carries out 3 bombing runs near your position, then leaves after 110 seconds.
  • There are no chat warnings. You find out when you hear the engines.

🌍 Major Invasions

The first full invasion arrives on day 150, then repeats every 30 days. Each one sends 80 units in waves over about 40 seconds, after a 10-strike bombardment.

Unit Count
Ground robots (random mix) 30
Tanks (Decimator, Eradicator, Prototype hulls) 10
Raid Scouts (aircraft) 15
Hunters (drone-style flyers) 25

🗺️ More Warium Structures

Extra worldgen placement makes these structures easier to find in newly generated chunks:

  • Desert Array
  • Overgrown Array
  • Oil Well
  • Sea Base

👤 Per-Player Schedules

Each player has an independent schedule, so everyone on a server faces their own waves. Nothing runs on Peaceful difficulty.

⚙️ Fully Configurable

config/warium_invasion-common.toml is generated on first launch.

Option Default Range
enabled true on/off
airRaidIntervalDays 20 1–365
firstMajorInvasionDays 150 1–1000
majorInvasionIntervalDays 30 1–365
aircraftStaySeconds 110 30–600
maxActiveAttackersNearPlayer 100 1–160
rareRoamerChancePerCheck 0.08 0.0–1.0
enableBombs true on/off
bombStrength 3.0 1.0–8.0
bombsBreakBlocks false on/off
  • Bombs don’t break blocks by default. You get the danger without losing your base. If you turn on bombsBreakBlocks, the mobGriefing game rule still applies.
  • A performance cap limits how many invaders can be active near a player.
  • Set enabled=false to switch the whole mod off.

📦 Installation

  1. Install Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.x.
  2. Install Warium 1.3.5 or newer.
  3. Put the mod’s .jar in your mods folder.
  4. On multiplayer, install it on the server and the clients.

You can remove it at any time. It does not modify Warium’s files.

❗ Notes

  • Warium’s own base defenses stay as Warium designed them. Only the mobile units spawned by this mod hunt the player.
  • Warium has no separate spider, helicopter or drone entities. Hunter is used as the drone-style unit and Raid Scout as the aircraft.
  • New structure placement only affects chunks that haven’t been generated yet.
  • Use /locate structure crusty_chunks:desert_array (also overgrown_array, oil_well, sea_base) to find structures.
  • If a world is already past day 20 or day 150 when you first join with the mod, the first air raid and invasion start right away.
  • Back up your world before adding the mod to an existing save.
