Description
STAY IN CHARACTER (WCESIC) is a simple patch that adds an [IC]/[OOC] toggle to the Warrior Cats Events' custom playermodel nameplates.
This is a small companion mod for Warrior Cats Events roleplay servers. It adds simple /ic and /ooc commands so players can clearly show whether they are currently speaking or acting in character or out of character. When a player sets a status, WCESIC displays a colored [IC] or [OOC] marker above their WCE cat morph nameplate, replacing the small player/morph icon while active. The same marker also appears before their displayed chat name, while leaving the actual chat message unchanged. This mod is meant to be lightweight and focused.
Commands
/ic- Set your status to[IC]/ooc- Set your status to[OOC]/rpstatus off- Clear your status/rpstatus clear- Also clears your status
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 via NeoForge
- Warrior Cats Events & it's dependencies
- Installation on both the server and client.
To-Do:
- /afk feature that shows up overhead and protects the player from death by thirst and such.
- Extend the WCE name logic in chat to show up in tablist as well.
- Change color of names based off of clan.
- Fix saving the IC/OOC status when you leave the game, likely through a config.
