Weathered Items

Weathered Items is a Forge mod for Minecraft Java 1.20.1 that gives your items a persistent history based on how long they have existed.

Supported items receive a creation day when they are crafted, dropped, picked up, or discovered in a player’s inventory. Their history is stored directly on the item, allowing it to survive through containers, trading, saving, and drops.

Items age according to Minecraft days and progress through four cosmetic tiers:

• New — 0–19 days
• Weathered — 20–99 days
• Old — 100–499 days
• Ancient — 500+ days

Weathered, Old, and Ancient items receive unique colored prefixes and italic descriptors in their tooltips, while all supported items display their age in Minecraft days.

The mod is purely cosmetic and does not affect durability, damage, enchantments, or other gameplay properties. It simply gives your items a history that makes them feel like they have been part of your world for a long time.
