About
Description
The Web Stripper is a utility block that automatically removes armor, held items, and other equipment from most mobs when they collide with it. You can fully control which entities are affected using a configurable whitelist and blacklist.
When the block extracts items, they are immediately ejected outward. The block has no internal storage, so items will simply fly out unless a container (like a chest or barrel) is placed on the configured output side. The block’s GUI lets you choose which direction items will exit, and the interface updates to show the active output side.
For safety and balance, players are hardcoded to never have their items removed, regardless of configuration. Only mobs can be stripped.
Spoiler how to get the items if you dont want to test and find out by yourself:
First you have to craft a full set of Leather Armor and each piece are crafted with a cobweb, no need to do itn craftingtable you can do in your own inventoryscreen. Then once you wear the full set of now "webcovered" leather armor you become immune to mobs, and most damage type except swiming in water, or falling from 4+ high. But... You have to break the armor using falling. There is a 5% chanse the item called Web Container is dropped and is the item that converts to the Web Stripper block. You might have given up hope getting the item since you sometimes has to keep re-adding web over and over to the armor and fall a few times for it to give you the item. I tested it myself and it took a while. Once you do get it, you need to capture cave spiders and a total of 10 of them to get the item to convert over to the block. There are a gui once you place the Web Stripper that has some lists of what mob can be stripped and which are blacklisted. And a button for which side to spit the items out, but you can walk around and place the block at the mobs feet, then break it with your hand and pick it back up if you dont want to actually place it at your mobfarm. The block doesnt hurt the mob or break any of the items it spits out, it just steals them using all these 10 spiders magic. Hope you will find a good use of it, and enjoy the mod. Thanks for downloading :)
Web‑Covered Leather Armor
To use the Web Stripper, the player must first craft and wear a full set of Web‑Covered Leather Armor. Hunt down some cobwebs, combine them with leather armor, and you’ll end up with a sticky, protective suit. On rare occasions, the webbing may break in just the right way and drop a mysterious item. Once you figure out how that item works, you’ll be able to craft the Web Stripper block.
However, the armor comes with several important drawbacks and perks:
- You cannot remove the armor normally. The webbing locks each piece in place. The only way to take it off is to ignore the warranty by doing the things the text below explicitly warns you not to do.
- Drawback: Avoid water — getting wet weakens the silk and voids the “warranty.”
- Drawback: Avoid long falls — a hard impact breaks the delicate webbing and voids the “warranty.”
- Drawback & Perk: Slower movement, but wall‑climbing The sticky webbing on your feet slows you down, but it also lets you climb walls like a spider.
- Drawback: Impaired vision Your screen becomes partially webbed over, and a spider will occasionally check your vision.
- Perk: Complete damage immunity While the armor is intact, you are effectively unkillable — not even the Warden can harm you. But once any "warranty" condition is broken, so is your temporary “godmode.”
